How come you can't do this?
Aldar
Regarding the possible premium expansion pack: When you say 5000 copies does that mean in addition to the people who have already purchased the Dregin.net subscription.
New features are cool - heh heh
Hello World. Emperor Aldar has spoken.
I would purchase it directly from Stardock
Please sign up here if you would be willing to pay $20 for an expansion pack with new aliens and anything else the developers think would be cool to add to the game. Please indicate if you would be purchasing directly from Stardock or through a reseller.
I am very happy with the game and support and would gladly pay another $20 (directly to Stardock) for an expansion pack.
Evil... Good... Who cares as long as you enjoy crushing your opponents. The Kingdom of Aldar welcomes you...
Thanks.
The Kingdom of Aldar welcomes all. I offer you nothing other than a really cool logo from a band/sailboat named Last Kid Picked
Frogboy - Good point
I'm just saying that on all levels the AI probably should be a little smarter about not getting into situations where it is accumulating massive debt.
Tried playing a small beginner game last night. Don't have the patience to wade through the tech tree to get a high score, so I had to wipe out the other cultures and move on LOL Regarding the 'bankrupting' discussion above - it seems to me that it is an AI issue rather than a Metaverse issue. Maybe it is time for Alien Econ 101. I my opinion, the Metaverse and forums are one of the best features of the game. I think that the Metaverse should only accept unmodded games (s
How in the world can a small beginner game score 13k?
Unfortunately the affect of the different bonuses is to make the game into just another kill 'em all game if you want to do well in the Metaverse. The reality is that the last 1/2 of any military conquest is mop-up to get a good Metaverse score. It would be nice it hopelessly out matched AIs would surrender a little sooner.
Seems to me a victory is a victory is a victory- why have different bonuses. Guess military domination is going to be my middle name from now on...
Seems like most of the top player's games are almost exclusively Military victories. I'm curious why you are always choosing that path to victory...
Must have been a wormhole.
I'm don't see how they can have contacted anyone other than me...
I just started a new game. I was looking at the debug.err file and noticed that the Altarians are trading with the Yor, Drengins, Arceans, and Scottlingas. I'm not sure how this is possible since the Altarians are in a corner, I am between them and everyone else, no Altarian ships have passed through my space, and I have just made contact with the Drengins (I ran into the Altarians very early in the game). I guess my question is does the AI automatically get trade access to the other
FINALLY got a chance to start a new game. Sent one freighter to the Altarians to create a trade route. Sent the second freighter to the Torians, it won't land on their system. Any ideas? I see to remember reading something about trade embargos - Could this be what is happening?
It seems to me that the Tech victory involves WAAAYYYYY to much clicking of the turn button at the end of the game with not much else happening. Sort of GalCiv's version of retirement...
I have been dealing with morale problems by building Combat Transports. Draft enough of 'em and the rest realize that maybe life isn't so bad after all.
For what it is worth, I am having a HUGE amount of fun playing the game the way it is, bugs, warts, and all :) SET SOAPBOX ON If you want the AI to treat humans the same way it does other AIs, write Frogboy a check for 5 million dollars and I'm sure he can make it so (for all you Star Trek people out there). So the AI gets battleships a little early, no big deal. Tell me with a straight face would have never reloaded to a saved position after you made a mistake. Maybe Frogboy sho
Could it also be happening because Bsic Repair has not been researched?
