Feel free to join the Kingdom of Aldar (which is centered in Northern Vt). Regarding morale: 1. It can be improved by lowering the tax rate. 2. Clicking on the Details button in the lower left corner and maxing out the propoganda slider will help keep the masses happy. 3. Important to only colonize 15 and higher planets early in the game. 4. No S8 - wanted too much money for the mileage. Oh well. Probably would have just stuffed it in a ditch any ways. On the plus side, just finished my hardest Maso game so far and was actually rewarded with my best Metaverse score so far. Arceans were building Terror Stars on my borders which was making me nervous. Had to give them a couple of planets to get them to back off (had no military)

Thanks Ray. Completely unrelated - I just had a CTD when a Corvette stumbled on to an Arcean starbase on an economic resource. The 'Do you want to attack them' question popped up and then CTD. The system also need to tell me that the Carinoids had developed Aphrodisiac at the same time. Reload from the autosave and everything is fine.

The Monday update destroyed SDC on my computer. To fix it I downloaded Stardock Central from this link http://www.galciv.com/download.asp and reinstalled. That let me get going enough to download the update, but when I click on the Discussion tab it crashes.
