Ok, first off - GREAT GAME. I've been having a blast playing it. I'm currently on the level above normal and getting my ass kicked, but I noticed a few odd things. AI Tech Sharing - ok, I know this has probably been beaten to death and the AI can't tell your human and everything, but this is either messed up or there's a galactic tech exchange that I'm not aware of. Ok, I'm big on research. My slider is usually at at least 40% the entire game. Normal was nearly impossible to keep

Hello, I just purchased the game today (retail cd +download option). My problem is once I install Stardock and register the game, I can't find out where to download. Also, Stardock keeps on saying login failed but the login information is exactly the same stuff as it was when I bought the game 15 minutes ago. I have owned galciv in the past and I may have used a different email. Could this be causing the problem?

emerich got fired, and then I think Chantz? from quicksilver took over. I was following the game for two years. It actuallly looked promising when Emerich was running things. Then QSI took over and decided to scrap everything emerich did and redo the whole thing. The result is the spreadsheet nightmare they call moo3 >:( ~SDC~

The rally point idea is a step in the right direction. Maybe then you could add a build queue to the starbases. So you don't have to keep picking the modules when you know you want a starbase to be an economic starbase, cultural base, etc. I think that alone would greatly cut down on micromanagement. later ~SDC~

you don't. They come at their own rate, helps if you keep morale high. But high morale equals low taxes. If your a new player, you'll lose your first couple of games just getting the feel for it. I lost my first 6 games, but I really suck

"First: You seem to misunderstand or do not know of the difference between SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM. " I know the difference between them. It's just the basic ideas are so similar that I consider them both the same thing. and now back to you falafel :p "I have posted above what i think of viewing these actions in "context"." were going to have to agree to disagree here then. There are alot of less than moral nations out there. If you make enemies with all

Large map size, and to be fair I got a small share of the availabe planets. Probably half of what all the other races got. The 8 resources should have evened things out, but instead their puttting me farther behind. I haven't played it out yet, but it doesn't look very balance to me. later

I also love debating. debating leads to change for the better. Mud-slinging leads to problems. :) Verenti: Glad we can keep it civilized :) You are right, I tend to wander sometimes when I type responses to this type of thing. The point I was trying to make was that the countries opposing us were letting their personal and illegal dealing's get in the way of their judgement. The anti-terrorism thing - The root of all the hate for us down there is Israel. It's a holy war, and

And into the debacle i go . "Yes there is a difference, however, i wouldn't call it free press when people expressing views that are at odds with the main opinion gets fired when doing so or their privilages of visiting the pressroom gets withdrawn making their jobs impossible. One might even argue that this kind of control over the press is even more dangerous as the public thinks its getting free press thus making the propagande even more effective." No, there's a difference

Would it be possible to make it so that starbases on resources don't cost 5bc a turn. In my latest game, I had the ability to get alot of resources, 2 influence, 2 morale, a military and 3 technology. By the time I got them, my maintenance levels were enormous. It crippled me in the earlier game. Any other starbase I' m for charging for, but the resource ones should be free. It's my opinion, but I believe it would make it a little more fun. Thanks :) ~SDC~

"DblDamage - You probablly won't read this but I may be happy with my Social status, But I'm not happy with society, the corruption festering carcass of civilization where need is replaced by greed. I live in Canada, and we spend 10 billion dollars a year on holding criminals. If we placed the money into social welfare, education, etc. maybe we could prevent the crimes by educated out citizens better." Maybe you could, but maybe those criminals would just sit around and collect wel

must... stay..... out..... AHHHH " The US is a country reknown for their Propaganda skills "being second only to Hitler" and it shows (FoxNews, CNN.. and that's only the commerical side of things)" There is a difference between propaganda and a free press. Hitler and saddam had one news source, and that source was only there to provide what the government said. So when the germans lost an entire army group at stalingrad, they were strategically redeploying, not getting ther

I think you would also need a ground attack value for those ships. I'd hate to see a 40 attack dreadnaught go after one of my planets. Interesting idea tho. I remember reading somewhere that planetary bombardments were a UP issue that came up. I never seen it tho. As a matter of fact, I've only seen the same 5 or 6.
