So, people like me, and others who have posted here, should not be allowed a score on the Metaverse?(check my previous messages in this post, im a 'pure' military player, no culture modules on starbases, no culture / influence building build ups on planets except an embassy which helps a little at the start if you end up next to an AI)
Why would you turn off any victory conditions ? The only reasons i can see to turn of victory conditions is to 1) create a scenario 2) to
Primus Ordines Aaberg
yeah, he is probably going to have a tough election year. Terl, do you live up-stat New York -would that by any chance be near Rochester ?
I think it would be a great idea to have a penalty for disabling victory conditions or as I understood Sirian - why not just make disabling of victory conditions a 0 Mv-score.
I actually had myself a couple of those Leffe, wednesday night and they where good, but how come all belgian beer is so strong (around 8%), are you guys always drunk :p or do one get used to it (and then maybee drink a little less)
Sorry for my absence, but when i finally got hom wednesday evening, my internet connection was down, but now i'm at the office (in NY), so why not spend time checking the Boards :D It seems you guys have had fun the last couple of days
I actually think Budweiser is an okay "light"-beer, probably because it is "watered down". :d
TORTURE mode
This where my girlfriend joins the game LOL I'm leaving for NY tomorrow and will be staying for 2 weeks (work). Anyway that will probably change my "posting"-hours, but since a man can only work so much - i still count on being active on the boards (and maybee get a game or 2 in).
Totally forgot about Hoegarden, I love that one to will try to get my hands on some of the others. I'm afraid that in Denmark The Carlsberg Company has got a monopoly (which means that it is very hard to get foreign beer distributed) - so after drinking the same beer for more than 15 years i would like to try something new :D
I think that the fact the we are even having this discussion proves that we all care about the points and that we would all want to have fun achiving those points. Admitted we all have different "sets of morale" in regards to what we will do to achive these points and i myself will gladly admit that the main reason i play huge/gigantic is because of the points. On a gigantic map i can win by alliance and culture and take a hit in poins that only seems fair(since a real military
that would benefit everybody except the few glory hounds who would rather see the game remain exploitable than see it shored up and improved.
I don't think we have any of those "hounds" around, Sirian.
Here, here I have come across a belgian beer called Chimay, damn thats a good one.
I will do my best. When you call them responsibilities, it sounds like work and you sound like my boss LOL and he is already on my back.
Icho - i'm afraid the force isn't strong enough with me. :D
Then we would miss the upcoming struggle for first place between FotR, Spec Forces and Euros (of course we all know who is going to win in the end) LOL How are things at the Prancing Pony (always wandered why it isn't the Green Dragon) ? Damn it would be nice with a cold beer right know
LOL here we go again. We better hold on tight to this thread. I fear an attempted high-jacking. But Icho - can asure we have room for Jedis as well in the European Alliance :p
Since most americans are 2nd, 3rd or 4rd generation Europeans, they will of couse be allowed in. I'm not sure we have made guidelines for Hobits and Elves etc. but anyway you will be welcome :p
If anybody thinks Muadman might be biased in any way...I don't mind stepping up as the unpartial representative and confirm every single word he said :D
I can only second that, visit our forums http://euro.galciv.org/forums/index.php?s=1ee58e653d22e20481389c104368747a Wow Muadman, you never get tired do you ? It seems like your the new Senator of Propaganda (and what a fine one you will be) :p
I agree with Hermann on this...2 bc a turn for 20% morale. Its number 3 or 4 in my build queue (soil, hab, and then bank or entertainment)
dooooh....i'm terribly sorry. My brains needs more RAM, but to be able to handle "stuff" i have to make very categories and wonders/trade goods just happend to fall into the same category. Not that bright :notsure:
As far as i recall there is no way you can do this and be perfectly sure it will work, but what i have tried is to ally with one of them and then start a war with the other, but it seems to be random which alliance will break and which will hold. The other way out would be to aplha-strike one of the AI's (i.e. taking out all of the systems in one turn) the other AI won't notice this (don't ask why) and therefore won't declare war.
Hmmm ....I think we shoulds release the powers of Maudman on this thread
hmmm....how about under tools - register products is your serial correct and is it still in function (i don't know why this should have changed, but anyway)
Hmmm...i must admit i have never taken much notice of the AI's destabilization. From what i have read hear on the forums they should stopped if you start destabilizing them or if they are busy with wars (get them at war with other AI's) I personally don't let my taxes go below 30%. If my morale falls to 50% (because of pop growth) the pop growth should stop and so should the fall in morale. I try to get my hands on morale ressources, social improvements and morale boosting technolo
The length of my games mostly depends on the habitability (i always play Maso either Huge or Gigantic). Rare normally ends around 2202-4 and common around 2220
