Think of it this way, since everyone can buy acess to the beta its kinda of an early released version of the game. Think of founders as investors and not someone that knows everything about the game or has acess to every version. We can pitch in and influence stuff, but in the end its they that develop the game. Plus lets be honest here i bet they have better people than us random guys on the internet to rely on "VIP" feedback. I bet they have act
You can't make a blob and win. We've tried it ENDLESSLY. A single Zeus, for instance, can annihilate a ton of cheap Brutes. Similarly, a bunch of well placed Artemis's can wreak havoc on an advancing enemy. Generally, good players create a combined army. However, this combined army can be justifiably be called a "death ball" which is an issue in all these games. This is where the o

I honestly have reported that unit responses when stuff is in combat is bad, and in the steam forums i did say that they should improve this first rather than speeding up the game.(if this was the argument about invalid feedback) But still i admit i enjoy this new movement speed, and i would like it to stay or have this kind of speed incorporated in the +/- butons. And yes ive noticed a considerable slow down when units are in combat, to the point that attack moving and right

Well the drone bays are soooooooooooooooooo good and cheap to spam, you get them on a position and holy crap they wreck. I like the current defences if anything i would enjoy some tier 2 style defensive turrets or arty like the Big bertha or the vulcan in TA.

From past experiences of early acess titles such as act of aggression and Servo another RTS published by stardock, i just think you should prepare yourselves for the impending wave of criticism. A simple suggestion to help smooth the process is maybe release a simple roadmap of future features and a explanation of what people can expect on the upcoming months. Otherwise people might just buy the game and proceed to leave after, which has happened a lot in the early acess games

I kinda feel the way RUSE/wargame did it seams to be what you want in ashes of the singularity. Even though i dislike it quite a lot for action packed micro RTS´s, honestly i still dont understand what type of game you want to make, it seams you want a bit of everything which sometimes doesnt really work at all. Can we get a clarification on what kind of game you want to make, i mean do you want micro to be a thing?, do you want just epic scale battles and no early game

Just bare in mind i was awnsering a question made by a developer in no way i mentioned starcraft II or i want starcraft II style natural expantions. In FAF you can use the term natural expantion to qualify the 6-8 mexes around your starting 4 mexes its just a terminology people use and ive seen it used in FAF and in other games. But its fine really we dont have to discuss terms its a boring and pointless discussion. I just disliked how you associated starcraft I
Quoting Andre_B, reply 25 Natural expantions I hate this term. Can we not follow the devs into their bad choices and mistakes? Just because naturals is a part of Starcraft : A game tha
So what are your thoughts?
Well we dont have an exponential economy at the moment, its all based of caping the entire map and you will hit a limit in both economy and production, i dislike this a lot especially since you want this to be a large scale game with a lot of units on the field. Also the current maps dont suit this economy system at all.
How many resources do you like seeing in

Well my logical explanation for all of this is that any faction either the Substrate or Post-humans have or "had" and lost the capacity to seed a planet. The seeding itself can be considered like a terraformer ai that setup`s everything for future colonisation or harvest operation. Maybe this terraforming AI was sent loong ago on a galaxy wide mission and the knowledge to control it has been lost, this would at least explain the presence of creep`s and why these creeps
Because AotS is going for more of a Sins feel, I think the unit speed is appropriate. What we've seen so far is 1v1. Think about how such a game would play out in Sins. You'd each spend a lot of time building up your nearby planets and asteroids, all the while fighting pirates, in preparation for the oncoming war. The whole game could still last hours!
Not 1v1`s ;), ive played them, i recall 2v2 ga
IMHO we should wait patiently to see what they come up with.
Yeah i mean until the next release or patch there isnt much more to do rather than keep discussing the same things over and over again.
It's EXACTLY the type of micro Oxide claimed they would attempt to never have in this game.
Dont think they have said that, i just think you should just be able to right click a control point and stuff would just go there to capture it.

Since people are talking about feel and uniqueness. I wish the current faction gets more flavour, not sure why but the units and especially the buildings look a bit generic and dont really look cool at least compared to sins of a solar empire. Also getting a throw back to the unit speed and how the game feels slow to me, maybe having better unit animations and more stuff moving on the units and buildings themselves can help a lot. And since this game is

Its not a bad idea i think it would speedup the early game since constructors take so loong to move out but delay it later on due to the presence of defensive structures. Do bare in mind that if they balance the current victory point system and rework how defences are currently it can achieve the same effect.

Agree with almost all of the above.
The other major contributing factor here is that the meta-unit AI often fails to make effective tactical decisions The AI also does not identify flanking opportunities and seek to exploit them. Instead, it lines the units up from more to less armored and proceeds to slug it out with the enemy units in front of it.
Still id rather have the player contro

Not sure if i want more AI controlling the units themselves or more individual control on the units, because at the moment the unit AI is not very good i know its early and stuff will get better and i know one of the unique selling points of the game is the meta-unit ai but i would enjoy more control like manual force target on individual units inside fleets/squads, fire on ground, hold fire, prioritise player commands over meta units actions e.t.c.. I still dont know if they want to
the game seems to say that their weapons are inferior.
Yeah if only i could make a video and post the differences between 3 scouts killing a creep camp and 3 brutes, you would see that 3 scouts are better xD

What i do at the moment is the following: 1- First Engineer builds an extractor then a factory. 2- Queue up 2 extra Engineers and as they finish they both go make the remaining 3 metal extractors. 3- The 2 extra Engineer will make 1 logistics facility. 4- I stick 2 Engineers helping the factory pump out units and the third one will come with my units to the front. 4- After this i just spam Scouts, i think they are better than brutes and missile skirmish
