Put bluntly, Russian rip sites do not give a f**k whose the upload is....and if you enter a pissing match over one....they don't plead the fifth...they plead 'no-speakie-English' [cos it suits them to] and simply ignore you.... Just for the record Jafo, I did not compare WC to a Russian rip site. I compared the use of Rule 3 which puts the burden of ownership proof on the original artist to the methods used by Russian rip sites operators. Period.

lease don't compare this with that which is found on Russian sites [your example]. The difference is that if and when an author takes issue with something of his posted here it is dealt with. Jafo, I believe if you read the thread you will note that everyone has repeatedly asked why the referenced walls were still there after all the time of this thread. That is the frustration with the thread and many of the responders.

I do in fact check many of the Dream uploads for the 15 second/25% rule. A great number of entries have been rejected for not following the fair use rules we set out, which are incredibly more restrictive than most other sites that would take the same content. If I read these rules correctly, I can use 15 sec of anyone's material (provided that that is not more than 25 % of the total) without any permission required (0nly a link to the source) and unless the source complains and can prove ownership, all is fine?
