I am talking about the last official patch, not the beta.

Changed with the patch: -------------- "Population growth fixed dramatically. This is going to have a significant game play result that we're still having to fix in the AI. Before, on a class 10 planet with a morale of 70 your population would increase at 20% per turn. Now is would change at 3%. The "population growth ability bug" wasn't a bug but rather a problem with having populations in billions rather than millions. The population growth was previously capped at
Well, the mini-map can zoom in and out but as far as I know, you can't make the whole map bigger though you can make it disappear. If I am wrong on this, let me know. The mini-map may show planets but it doesn't show how good the planet is. Say a 6 vs. a 26. I guess I will keep taking notes.
I don't know if I have ever seen this in a game, but what about this? Have the program be able print out a list of planets--particularly unowned or foreign--particularly with sector numbers. Right now I spend time writing down names of planets to colonize with my own sector numbers: 1,1 is the bottom left; 1,2 is on the bottom row one to right, etc. In the end game, I do the same for enemy planets I need to in
Do flagships have abilities that you normally don't have initially? For example, to hit up anomalies.
I looked through the list for patches but didn't see it. Maybe I missed it and maybe it is included in the betas. GNN often doesn't report completed buildings on planets and completed ships. Has this been fixed or will it be fixed?
Another reason for improving the planet/ship list is that the GNN doesn't always reports new additions or even new ships. I have to go scrolling through the ship list looking for ones that were never reported by GNN and thus never launched. Each time I do this, I have to start at the top of the list again.
About every turn I take a look at my planets at the top left. If I look at the planet in detail, when I come back, I have to scroll down to where my last planet that I looked at was. Then I can continue looking at the rest of the planets. It would be nice (say, within a turn) to remember how how far down the list of planets I was and stay there. Rather than having to start at the top over and over. Analogy: With most
A fair answer, but I hope the code makers know about it. I saw an earlier post that seemed to indicate that they did know about it. But I didn't see it listed in the changes (but maybe I missed it). Last night in the end game when I normally would have a dozen GNN messages, I was sometimes getting none. Then occasionally a few. I also wish they would fix the planet listing box that you click on. It some
I didn't see it listed there but I might have missed it.
Fix the GNN. It's not reporting everything. Like completed ships and completed resources. And yes, I have set the preferences: Show GNN checked and unchecked show social events only if queue is empty.
Maybe the devs don't have a complete list yet until they are done with beta. My GNN reporting at the beginning of the turn seems to get wackier and wackier. Often missing completed projects and ships. On the prefs I have checked to get maximum reporting.
Is this a bug in the latest non-beta release. I just noticed this and, maybe it is me, but it seems to be getting worse. I actually reinstalled the game with the two patches. Started a new game, finished a new factory, and there was nothing in the GNN report. Any rhyme or reason as to when this happens>
What I am asking is this: is there a separate screen for ship to ship combat? If so, what am I doing wrong in the preferences? I have checked "Always watch player ships in battles."
What do I have to do to see this? Zoom in? Or am I setting something wrong in my preferences? Right now I usually have only one ship attacking. Occassionally the defenders have one or more ships.
I have the show ship combat checked. When I do have ship combat, I expected I would see a full screen of ship combat (like with planet invasion. Instead all I see is some tracers going back and forth on the regular screen with an occasional explosion (presumably if a ship blows up.) Is this what I am supposed to see?
Is there a keyboard command to jump from one of your planets to another--one by one? I generally like to check all of them. ALso as to the list of planets that you can pop up on top left. If I have lots of planets and I go and look at one, I wish the list would stay up there scrolled to the point where I left it. Right now I have to start at the top and scroll down to where I just left off. Annoying.
I just downloaded from the author's webpage and when I run it, it says it is version 1.3.0 instead of 1.4.

Sometimes the planet list that you can put in the top left has information (like turns left to produce such and such) that don't match the info on the full planet screen.
I would like to be able to start random maps part way through the tech treee. I've felt this way about most of the Civ games too. Often times the game is over before you get to the interesting units and abilities. I think the game goes too slowly at first (though I know you can speed up the tech rate at the beginning).
No one knows how the forums work. Usually your new post will be on the left after a while. Where it goes after that, is unclear. Obviously you can look at the "My Posts" near the top of the screen for replies. You usually will get some replies, if at all, when the item is on the left.
I assume we start out with a build cost for an item if it is completed in the normal cycle of turns. If you want to buy it early, is there a formula for cost? I assume it costs more to buy it early.
No, I couldn't buy anything on any planet at any time. I'll try to send the save file.
