Welcome to the skull and crossbones John. 1. Make sure you are connected to the net before you end your game. Otherwise, the submission screen never comes up. 2. Make sure your firewalls and adblockers are off 3. Make sure you submit under your players name and the email you registered in the meta with. Oh and save your game the turn before you win it. IF you're still having trouble, save it, and when you get it worked out, you can load, and submit so your work isn

My whopping disk just ran out of space. Did a bit of checking. Seems My ap save files are about 70 mg each. With quite a bit saved that can quickly eat up some space. Can someone check the size of your ap save files and someone check the size of your 1.02 or earlier save files please? If this is just me, How do I decrease their size?
Yes, that's true - but I would like not to have to open the little window in which you type the amount of bcs or influence points, and have to close it before you can see the effect on the deal. I'd like to have a slider to adjust the amount of bcs and see directly when the deal jumps from yellow to green, that would make it a lot less tedious to find the right amount...
Use your wheel. Just click, move the wheel a click or two and watch it change.
I would like to know if the 1.2 patch is worth the change from the retail? And what mods are the best, is there a rating for them?
Upgrade at once. You'll see better graphics, far fewer crashes, more random events and better game play. Stick to the Stardock approved Mods if you wish to compete on the metaverse. I would avoid those that sound too good to be true.. ie (this mod gives you 50pq on all your planets) if you wish to submit your games.
I think you have to submit a game for the fix to go into effect.
Or at the next recalc I would assume. Code Monkey, after I submitted I got back about 10 games. So something fixed something. also my score in my profile now matches the score on the individual high score table.
sounds like someone was watching a horrible miniseries on NBC about an earthquake while writing this much more imaginative than what i had though.
Actually no. I don't have a TV that can get NBC way out here in the stix. But I will watch it when it comes out on DVD. All those cheap made for TV movies do. They sell em for 5 bux a piece and still make money on em.

Luck Creativity and Diplo How bout the Gamblers?? The origin of the Gamblers goes back to the Big earthquake of 2087, where California fell into the ocean. When Nevada ended up where California once was, Gambling was outlawed and Those that had made their living at it formed the Gamblers movement (which later became a political party). The Gamblers, using their poker faced experience are excellent Diplomats. And their card playing has instilled in them creati
We found a bug in the metaverse scoring that caused people's scores to get lopped off too much due to older games. That's fixed now so many old-timers will see their rankings restored quite a bit now.
Cool. Will it correct itself and unlopp those that were lopped or will it just prevent more lopping in the future?

The lower your morale on your planets, the more likely they are to go over, though it is possible for even a 100% morale Sol system to switch. So keep your morale up as best you can. The only other way is to load the last save or autosave.
. Obviously going crippling or masochistic gives you a higher score, but can you leave one or two races as genius in masochistic without affecting your score since it is still masochistic?
The score is based upon what level you set each alien too. Though I would wager that on the bigger size maps, you'll still be over the cap so in effect, it won't cost you anything.
Finally what in game increases your score significantly? Would I have a higher score

A little history. Everytime the players have requested a scoring change it comes out worse than before. And I was part of a few of these requested changes, so I'm just as at fault as the next guy. 1. We wanted the alliance and the beyond human victories nerfed because after all, you shouldn't score points by hiding in the corner, hitting turn, and doing nothing. (this is important and we'll be revisiting this shortly) At the time I suggested that a good scoring system should
Oh yes, and please for the love of god don't copy MOO3 for Fleet Battles... it was terrible... might as well have been a cheap budget RTS game for the fun I had with that part of the game
What? You didn't like Battle of the Dots?
I really don't play with ships either, but I think I would to a much greater degree if I could design them myself
Lets face it, most of us do not play with ships because we don't need them and it takes too much time. My biggest request isn't on the list. Make the ai more aggressive in demanding things when the human player's military stinks. Make the AI attack the human if he's weak militarily on occasion even with Good relations. Make the Ai better able to utilize i
Why do games disappear? I can understand not having them included in the calculation, but having them disppear altogether?
Fsk, if you click on your own name, your games still appear in your profile beyond the 331 days. They just don't appear in the game count on the high score table.

Therein lies the problem. If you play at the exact same rate, and get the score max for a time, after a time, you'll never increase your score again since in theory, the games are dropping off at the same rate you're adding new. In that case, there's no incentive to keep playing other than to stay where you are. Kind of Sux.
Adding to that: this really matches my experiences with mathematicians and physicists. Mathematicians think that theoretical physicists are too sloppy in their thinking, while physicists think that mathematicians worry too much about irrelevancies.
A mathemetician's view of the sciences. If it bites you it's biology If it stinks it's chemistry And if it doesn't work it's physics. :)
