I research straight to AMM's. They are very powerful, fast to build, and only cost 1 maint. I build hundreds, yes hundreds at a time, and I easily gain military superiority with them. I never build anything else, just AMM's and Combat Transports.

That pop up can be easily disabled. It's simple, but I found this out after playing around with a few things. I dunno if this works on any other operating system other than XP, but if you can find the 'services' program then you're set... here's how (for XP users): Click Start Click on Control Panel (you can also find it under 'my computer') Click on Administrative Tools Click on Services Scroll Down and find Messenger Double click on it Under the General tab,

Well there's only two 'evil'icons. 'Very Evil' (which is mine), and 'Chaotic Evil' (which is the guy that posted right before my previous message). Speaking of alliances. I have NEVER seen a AI offering a alliance to me (or tech, star systems, or trade goods). That reminds me liek in MOO2 where every other turn took me to the diplomatic screen where the alien race bugged me about making a alliance. Yet, in GalCiv, I am more inclined to ally with a AI (since they are MUCH smarter). *Also a 'ignore alien race' button should be added (I hate them bugging me about them wanting to give me a tribute every other tu

Isin't the Trade Goods that you trade with another empire supposed to last for only 20 turns? Even trading a Trade Good from a minor (or major) doesn't mean that you can take that and trade it with another empire that doesn't have it. They would have to go to the empire that made it. Therefore, even if I did trade before invade, I highly doubt that I would permanently own the Trade Good. I'll have to test it to see what happens. ~SDC~

You need to go greater then 1024x768. I noticed the same problem when I tried.

I culture flipped a Drengin planet, and saw that it was my best one. So what I did was went to one of my planets that had all the capitals, and system exclusive bonuses (via social projects) and I went to it and cancelled (deleted) those projects. Then I waited a turn, and then wanted to move the ones I deleted off a old planet onto my newer and better planet. Unfortunatley I found when I cancelled (deleted) those projects on my previous planet, they were gone forever. Is this supposed to ha

Turning on Background Loading can help, but then again I have heard that it can slow it down. You may wanna give it a try.

Hmmm, the only thing I have noticed is that a freighter enroute back to a Torian system, from a minor civ got stuck. I dunno how, but the little ship just sat there the entire game till the minor race was conquered. Btw, has the max trade routes always been 10? Either I'm on crack, or its something that got expanded somewheres with the recent new patches out, cause I thought it was always 9. If its any useful info. I use 1.05.071

EBZeroMatrix here reporting back from vacation... It was the best one I have ever had, and earlier today I just got back...so I'm just depressed for the time being.
