Thank you everyone! This is truly a day to be remembered forever in the history of GROSS! I wasn't too hopeful that we were gonna make it for a while. Yet, we did! Hmmm, I'm backtracking a little, because you all seem to talk when I goto bed. In response to Ray... It's not your call as to how G.R.O.S.S. should be. We are whoever we want to be. Evil gets the life force power, which ups your economy by 25%. And once the equivalent is made (Paladins, I think), evil will get the Death Knights only ;)
Here are some steps to take (it helped me long ago with my crashes): -Update video driver (check your video card manufactuer's webiste for updated drivers) -Update DirectX (used to be directX 9.0a, now its 9.0b [I haven't tested this though] http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=141D5F9E-07C1-462A-BAEF-5EAB5C851CF5&displaylang=en) You can check to see if you at least have 9.0a by clicking on start > run > type in dxdiag ...and you should see the info. -Update
Well I have a new and imporved strategy. In fact that old one is way out of date, and its not the best scorer. Any contact info. would be great in me being able to teach you how to achieve your fullest potential.

Heh, seems liek I can cap tiny/beg games at 10300 (the recent anomalous score was supposed to be the other one). 20min...still working on finding ways to cut down on time, and increase points.

Haha! I finally made it into the top 3! Well third place at least....worked hard during the weekend for it. Just barley passed Pontius. Though I don't expect it to last for long. I'll just enjoy my moment of glory for a few hours :CONGRAT:
Well I was actually joking Java. I never colonize worlds lower than 11, and that's late in the game. After getting Habitat Improvment then I'll settle for 13 and higher. After terraforming and getting 'the terraformer' then I'll go as low to 11. Concerning influence...as long as you keep up in wonders, SB's, resources, etc... You shouldnt have a problem.

I would suppose senatorship would also be based on how Pontius feels about whether you earn it or not. In my case, I was the only automatic senator. And then the old rules was 5 evil games. Afterwards, me and Pontius have been talking on upping the requirements. Nothing much got futher, because our attention turned to other things. In the meantime, seems liek the old rule has been laxed and it's been given to those that earned it, in other ways (i.e. high scores, activley posting, etc...).<
Darth Bob, you shall become a senator. Just get in one more evil game Darth Bob (per Pontius), and you shall have senatorship ;) On another note, any contact info. would be nice as well. You can find me on the IRC chat (you can access it though SDC). Or I use aim/aol, yahoo, and msn if you wish to contact me though any of those other chat mediums. E-mail can work fine too, but I really don't perfer using it, unless I have to. [Message Edited]
Or it would be nice to have a option to turn off ALL pop-ups, and let the game 'auto-turn' ...just to speed up those times when all you can do is wait.
SDC seems to do a pretty good job at keeping things 'organized'. In fact, I would think that SDC should be a optional installation along with GalCiv. For me at least, it really does make a big difference in keeping things in the fourm organized, and *clean*.
I dunno how you cheat. The highest I have got (and I think is only possible) is 52.
