I ran it with SmartException and pressed the "submit exception" or whatever that top button was. There is no feedback to let me know it was sent. Is that all I have to do, or do I have to mail the .cra file?

I see this in my current game as well, with the Altareans, so it's not specific to one race. Of course this particular game has been riddled with tons of bugs, including, amy unrecoverable (so far anyway) save game.

Okay, so we got clarification that Drengin.net is for 18 months instead of 12 like I suggested, but I still have not received answer as to whether there is a difference after 18 months between having a GalCiv license as opposed to a Drengin.net license. I made the assumption that if I bought GalCiv I'd get bug fixes indefinately. Maybe this is a false assumping, but that's the way most companies work. If I buy Drengin.net, will I still be able to get bug fixes to my games after

BTW, I don't remember anything about the Draginol, but I have a bad habit of getting carried away with the "Turn" button and not reading a lot of the messages. :-) Upon a reload, I see an empty Tech Tree (I think I researched everything) then the screen goes red and then there is a crash to the desktop.

I've got pretty much the whole day invested in a Gigantic game, and now it keeps crashing when I load up. If I go to the previous autosave it will work for 5 more turns and then crash again and corrupt the autosave, and it's an endless cycle... A whole lot of bugs in this game. I just saw a Terror star mve a whole bunch of spaces! It was in a fleet with some other ships. It was moving one at a time until I went to an autosave and then it started really moving. I've also have i
Probably. Since bug-fixes and feature-expansions have been released together (so far)
This was not true until AP. Although I hear of some bug fixes in AP which have not come out for GalCiv. I find that trend very disturbing, but it's too early to say that they won't be released for GalCiv as well. Microsoft did this with AoE2:Conquerers thing and it ticked off so many people I know, they didn't buy it, and just stopped playing it all together. Generally speaking, when som

Oh yeah, one more question. I think the Drengin.net subscription is good for 1 year. That infers there must be a way to re-subscribe. What is the re-subscription rate? I assume it's not $69.95 because one people have the big games downloaded, they're not going to want to pay $70 just for updates/patches.

I would appreciate it if someone at Stardock could answer these questions (as opposed to a player who thinks they know the answer). I'm posting them here because I would guess I'm not the only one thinking them, especially at this particular point. I'm assuming that if you have a GalCiv license, like me, you can still upgrade to Drengin.net. I didn't see that option at the ordering page. Did I miss it? Anyway, I'll start by listing a fewe of facts, please correct me if they are

Actually I can now pretty much win Masochistic games regardless of where I start. I don't say this to brag, but to again point out a major flaw in the AI. They are completely unable to detect a culture attack. So as long as I have enough planets to spit out constructors at a decent pace, and can start absorbing other races. If you select your first sectors first (with the most adjacent habitable planets) you can really progress quite quickly. This of course feels cheesy, but it

Bah, one of the first thing I do with all my games is turn off the music. Then I add my own soundtrack. Of course GalCiv allows you to do that with their own mp3 player. That's cool, but unecessary for me since my music collection is right next to my computer.

Technician: Wow, I just realized you submitted two Maso wins yesterday and are now right on my heels again. Wow, have you ever made some progress. In December you were still playing Beginner level, now you're winng at Masochistic! You're more active than me (usually), so if you should pass me, I may have a hard time keeping up. Hey, both of us are about to pass Essex (Ascendant), that defector that left us long ago. Too bad he seems to have retired while a mem

Ottawa is a weird city. We have hot and humid summers, and brutal winters. We always seem to have cold winds coming out of the hills. This year has been especially bad. It seems like this cold spell has been pretty much since Christmas. For example, today it's -24C and -32C with the windchill. (For our American friends, that -11.2F and -25.6F) This is not our coldest day either. Ottawa gets more than it's share of snow, but nothing compared to when I used to live in the snow belt in NB.

Yeah, I don't know what got into me in January. I played only 1 game between mid October and mid January, and then all of a sudden I play 10 games over 2 weeks. I guess you can blame Realms Beyond for waking this sleeping giant. Unfortunately so far our efforts are falling short of returning us back to 6th place, but at least we're keeping 8th and 9th at bay! I've said it before. This is the kind of game I will play off and on for a long time. I may stop playing for months at t

My computer used to be able to handle the old gigantic universe. I played for the first time with the new size, although I can handle the size, my computer can't! It starts taking 5-6 seconds everytime I press Turn. For me, that's bad because most of my strategies is repeatedly pressing that button over and over again. :-)

Tech, I think you mean 2 Maso wins... Although the last one was gigantic and part way through I just got fed up. I paid off the other races to become allies so I could quickly end it. My computer chugs too slowly on Gigantic. The old "turn, turn, turn" strategy is greatly reduced! I think I'll stick to Huge. I'm experimenting more with getting the other races to fight each other. I never really tried doing that much before. Works well. I won't make fun of Hamilton any
