Hi Espanza thanks for letting us know. This is a new one, so we'd like to look a little closer to see what we can do. Can you try this? First, enable advanced debug logging (1) Go to About pane (2) Click Troubleshooting, then "Enable advanced logging" (3) Log off/on or reboot Next, capture it in the act, and take snapshots along the way (1) Go to the Layout tab (2) Click "Save / Restore a backup" (3) Click "Save ba

Hi, this was an experimental feature that was accidentally turned on in the UI, but is not implemented. Sorry for the confusion.
Ha! No worries. Thanks for pointing out the "some icons don't highlight on mouseover". We're seeing that too and are working on a fix. The portal drag issue, we'll have to look more into that. Some of that issue we may not be able to work around – Explorer treats certain drag drops as special and doesn't place the icon right away or in a predictable manner which makes "capturing" it (without creating other problems) problematic. We do see that it does work generally, but
Ah! Something must have went wrong with link creation, sorry for that. You can give this a shot: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/byk625la4u0jqloxc1dz4/UpdatePatcher_Debug_2025_06_20__10_21_02_pm.exe?rlkey=1ycl9b5vd20fr2zig21iz9sp5&dl=1
Hi dudechester, Some progress on the "icons switch tabs" issue; we have a candidate build available for testing, if you'd like to give a shot. We'll have a full installer ready next week, but in the meantime a patcher is ready for trying out (v6.01 will be displayed in the about box) that delivers the same results at https
Hi andy, We have a candidate build available for testing, if you'd like to give a shot. This issue appears to be rare but we've heard of similar as Adam notes above. We'll have a full installer ready next week, but in the meantime a patcher is ready for trying out (v6.01 will be displayed in the about box) that delivers the same results at <a href="https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/yk2zloek6mmzeqxj8e8ws/UpdatePatcher_Debug_2025_06_13__3_23_06_pm.exe?rlkey=uez9ouhknhl3100mvbp
Hi lanruid thanks for pointing this out. This was put as a placeholder for a future feature that doesn't yet exist and should not be appearing. Looks like there was a mix-up, thanks for the heads up and apologies for the inconvenience
Hi imagexideas, please try the option "Fix desktop icon spacing" from Troubleshooting and log off / log on? Hoping that helps.
Hi klobgoblin, The "scale my Fence groups" option is obsolete and has been replaced as of Fences v5.5 (as well as in v6). We recommend using the new default option "Store my layout on a per-monitor-configuration basis". The old scaling option did not perform well when switching back and forth between different DPI, and it operated particularly poorly on multi-monitor systems. The new system was designed from the ground up to support such use cases. It's available for users of v5 (late
Hi ComputerGuy_1387, could you submit your logs for further review? Perhaps do this a few times: (1) Before removing a Fence (2) After removing a Fence (3) After rebooting when it returns You can say which of the scenarios it is in the comments when making the error package You can access this via the "About" pane of the settings, then click on the "Troubleshooting" link and then "Create error report package for technical support". There ma
We’re going to get in touch with them this week to see what we can do. It’s a false positive based on our new code signing certificate which hasn’t yet gained their trust as our previous one had.
We recently renewed our security certificate. As result, the certificate can sometimes take time to rebuild its trust level with security manufacturers. We’re looking into it further on how we can speed this up.
You will no longer receive a notification now that you've installed v6, but thank you for letting us know! Glad it helped and extra glad you enjoy the product.
Hi hharrison– we're starting to see a trend around users using solid colors and having this problem on an intermittent basis. Is the problem resolved by creating a solid-color image and setting that as your wallpaper instead? Would be helpful to know if so. https://mdigi.tools/solid-color-image-generator/
Hi wk2, great to hear! Thank you! Just for our information to make sure it's working – you should have received an in-app notification about v5.0 update last year ~March. (We haven't yet sent the notice about v6.) Wondering if you remember seeing that notice about v5.0?
I think the team is going to keep it simple first 😆 But I can confirm this feature is coming! More or less the new option, which is on by default, is to show colors on all tabs if multiple colors are used within a tab group. So, customize a tab's color and they'll all get visible tabs. We can see where-to from there 👍 Thanks for raising, btm!
Thanks for the feedback. So in your screenshot, the Fence has the mouse over it – so the titlebars are at 100% opacity. Would you expect the titlebars to be at 100% opacity always, even when the mouse isn't over it (as to show the color the strongest), or simply do the existing appearance when the mouse is not over it except that the other tabs also would get a background.
Hi btm, great suggestion. Any thoughts on how you'd expect the selected (or unselected) tab to appear?
Hi Evan626 thanks for the report. We'd like to get more data. Can you upload a troubleshooting log? We may have to get you a special build if we're unable to figure it out with the data sent, but we'd really like to figure this one out. You can access it by: (1) Open About tab (2) Troubleshooting menu (3) Click "Create error report package" (4) Follow the instructions on-screen to upload. Maybe upload a couple. One ri
Hi SteveDavies, We regret that the Chameleon feature isn’t compatible with Deskscapes or any other animated wallpaper program. The effect is not realtime and requires a static wallpaper to be set to work. We’ve added a development note to add a warning to the program. Sorry that this is the result. Hopefully the new Tint feature might be of use to you instead, for helping to blend the icons into the background.
woot wooooot! Go BASJ! Thanks for the update Brickwood
Hi kyao2259, We’re seeking feedback on that actually. The permanent purchase link is directly under the subscription purchase button, so we’re not sure how to draw additional attention to this option. Wondering what we might be able to do to make this more visible and apparent. In general we encourage subscription because Windows is updating more than ever, and this helps us ensure users are up to date with the current version.
Hi Fathoms, could you elaborate on what you mean and the intent behind it? Glad the program is of such great use!
Hi Hagai, the development team was able to load up the configuration you sent and we're not seeing anything pop out as problematic. All of the groups appear to load fine, and there aren't any settings enabled that would make icons hide. In fact the Recycle Bin item showed fine for the team in the purple group you have titled there as "prog" One thing we might recommend trying would be to temporarilly disable Fences by scrolling to the bottom of the Welcome dialog and unchecking "Enabl
In v6 you can go below and from Icon Tint select from the dropdown “Disable Tint”. We’ll look to make that more apparent in a future release
