Your immune to the fundamentalist event if your good your very resistent to it if you have high morale. The more powerful event is rare even at the highest levels. If you gotten it twice in 2 games, thats just coincidence.

The metaverse can already filter different moralities and game settings :) The only use I could see is to see the affect of an unsubmitted score on your overall score.

I remmeber the last few days I was unaligned. G.R.O.S.S. and MWC were in a dogged race for 5th and 6th with MWC leading by a hair. I had just made number 1 and was pondering to go with my Michigan Roots or my Calvin adoring leanings(obviously I made the right choice!) Well, 1.05 was released on 6/10 I believe and ray has resubmitted games that he submitted prior to 6/10 specifically some finished on 6/7. That is with respect to double submitting games played on different versions which is the only thing that might be considered lame. double submitting a game on the same version is fully intended to be a viable option for players to try to better their score. Re: bug underfood I agree in theory but in practice all evil is more difficult then mixed or all good. Though regardless I think the bonus is a tad excessive, specially at crippling where it hardly seems to matter what the Ai is, its crippling inability to stay out of debt through massively bad trades inhibits it from being anything but a paper tiger, good or evil.

For a note on my last crippling game against all evil empires. I didnt build a single military ship(on purpose, I got some incidently as a timed coincidence when flipping an alien world) I never payed a bribe, I was never at war, I never built a starbase for cultural purposes and I didn't even bother to take over any minors. Well, I did an all evil game, empires evil im pure evil(never choose a pick that wasnt totally evil, EVER) Otherwise i was semi lazy about scoring, did manage to grab every wonder but one, but otherwise stopped at 10 trillion in 2196 or so, no major milking. Actually it did take some maneuvering :) I was 4k shy with my last game and running out of time so I did a sneaky pirate move and recalled T-man saying any game can be submitted twice so I submitted some old ones again. Nothing like being evil ;)

Also means that at the start of each new month, overall scores will jump up very quickly and of course scores during the end of months will tend to not do much to the metaverse.

This actually means the metaverse seriously favors old timers as it will be very hard for new players to catch up. Odd how a little detail in the calculations can so dramatically change the outcome, wonder why they never bothered to let us know this. It eliminates quite a few major concerns people had with the metaverse while introducing a couple others(which oddly favor me this time, rather then hurt me, so I will let new players do the complaining this

Curious, that does mean old scores can not hurt you and would explain why I played 1 game for 19000 points and my overall went up 14000. I havnt played many games lately, my last game was just the 4th game in this block. Ray is on about his 15th game in this block and consquently getting far less overall point increase for his work. Hence gaining 2000 points for his 15k games.

Tried it, came out to 91k for me. Maybe with decay this is what is going on. Btw, insightful idea on what might be going on.

While trying to figure out what was going on, I had a somewhat unrelated good idea. The overall should be the sum of your individually scored map sizes. This would reward people who played different map sizes quite nicely as the sqrt penality would be less for people who played on all map sizes then someone who only played on one map size. This btw is not what is currently going on, I already checked the math for that.

If its late in the game and you have some massive tech advantages, approaching the beyond human tech levels, and the minor is on the opposite side of a gigantic galaxy from you, you can trade for 2 of their 3 systems with massive tech trade and use those systems to launch an invasion of their last system. This works exceptionally well with the I-League for getting cultural bombs in far away places in the middle of a majors terrirtory. [Message

Not to disagree Smith, I dont actually know if it does get such bonuses at that level and the trading it does is no more then the trading you can do as a player, but it is very possible for a human player to outpace an intelligent AI in all departments simutaniously.
