is anyone thinking about starting a strict, evil-only empire? im talking about an empire where if you want to be a member, your overall morality has to be evil -not good, and not neutral. of course there is no function in the metaverse where you can block people from joining an empire, so this means that the empire admins would have to manualy delete the "good" and "neutral" members. i will most likely join if someone starts an empire like that, as long as the name and logo isnt dumb.

i hate to say this, but it would be silly for us to stay in an empire where there is only one empire admin, and he is absent. what happens if he gets bored of the game and just stops playing and doesnt bother to hand over leadership to anyone else? we would never be able to change anything -the logo, motto, and website would stay the same forever. anyone want to ICQ him? i deleted my ICQ, i got bored of the program. i tried all of his email addresses, and only one of them seems to b

yup, i really am a card carrying socialist! LOL give me a break buddy, just because i believe that hydro should remain in the hands of the government doesnt mean im a "card carrying socialist". of course education, health and hydro are cash cows, but thats what the government is here for, to make sure that everyone gets those essential services for an affordable price, and one of the ways to pay for it is by collecting taxes from the citizens. what do you think the governm

once you get your planets, im finding the game pretty easy and straight forward. the "painfull" game i just played wasnt any harder then the "normal" and "challenging" game if you ignore the first dozen turns in the beginning of the game.

i like the idea, but im guessing this would be for GalCiv 2. im guessing it would be way too much work to make a patch to add this into this version of galciv. what would be neat is to give preferences to the AIs -some would prefer to build fleets of lots of small weak ships, while some AIs would prefer smaller fleets of big, strong ships.

the AIs tend to trade techs among each other fairly heavily, so you wont find an AI very much different from the next AI (unless one has been bankrupt for the past few turns).

Cryptbeef >>> just wondering, how much vacation time is commonly given in europe when you first start a new job? i remember my brother worked in europe for a year, and he said it wasnt uncommon to be given at least a full months holiday instead of the usual 2 weeks a year here in canada. at the place i work at right now, the only people who have 4 weeks vacation are the people who have been working at that company for over 15 years.

we in ontario are in the same boat, they privatized electricity not too long ago. i wouldnt have been surprised if it did turn out that the blackout started in ontario instead of ohio.

another thing that cracked me up was a news report saying parts of toronto still didnt have power, and they showed some dumb lady pulling out black bananas from the fridge!
