i thought it was pretty funny when that cnn reporter who was doing her shoot in times square was saying how important it was for new yorkers to conserve power, while behind her, you can see the huge video billboards and lighted advertisments that nobody bothered turning off. LOL

i know people on here did it, but where is the line drawn? i guess you can submit a game twice, but what about 3 times? 4 times? ------------------------------------------------ join the Illuminati! http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=413
i never did this by the way, and dont plan to, just have a question about it. i remember reading someplace that you can submit a game to the metaverse more then once, just wondering, is there a limit to this? whats stopping someone from submitting the same game 20+ times? ------------------------------------------------- join the Illuminati! http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=413
ps. no word from Treylis so far. only 1 of the 3 accounts seem to work. [Message Edited]
lets see how long it lasts however :( ----------------------------------------------- join the Illuminati! http://www.galciv.com/metaverse/empires.asp?id=413 [Message Edited]

slow internet, sorry :(
school is going to start in less then 3 weeks -just wondering, how many people here will find their gaming time greatly diminished since they will be returning to school? im guessing this should cause a noticible decrease in the number of games submited till christmas holidays -however, i do remember hearing someplace that the average age on here is like 35? (not sure, can someone confirm this?) i will be returing to college this september, and i already know i wont be submiting muc

its going to require some work for us to stay in #10th place, but it will require a LOT of work for us to get to #9th place. we will have to more then double our score to get ahead of the GammaSquad, obviously, this wont be easy, especially with 5 members. LOL this means we will have to recruit some people, well, more then some, LOTS of people. all the empires in the top 10 have 26 or more people in them -except for us, with just 5 people. im thinking we should start placing "foote
ok, i just emailed him -hope he still uses that email address.
Treylis has a web site, you can get to it from the empire stats page http://treylis.org
ok, here it is, the "The Illuminati Lodge" http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=86662#86662
ok, here it is, the Illuminati communication thread! a lot of people has been asking when we will put one up, so, here it is. we have finally made it to the galactic map (thanks to Treylis for his high scores), and one of our members has made it to the top 10 players (again, thank you Treylis). things to discuss: 1) get hold of Treylis 2) find ways to get more recruits 3) find things to talk about in our thread! (im serious) LOL
well, maybe once we do show up on the map, and we have our own thread, more people will join us. maybe our own thread actually wont be too bad of an idea.
i need to get my @$$ in gear and finish my game so that way i can submit it. wont be worth anywhere near as Treylis's games, but it will help the illuminati we dont have enough people really to have our own thread. we only have 4 members, and our boss doesnt even use the forums anyways, so only 3 people would be using the tread at the most.
remember, both parties have to have the "alliance" tech before they can form an alliance. you probably already know this, but just making sure. some AIs in some of the games are difficult to get into an alliance with them, even though you have good relations with them.
for those that are testing this out, remember, only one gift counts per AI per turn. i read it someplace that giving 2 or more gifts to one AI in a turn will not bump up the relationship up 2 times, it will only go up once per turn.
try it right from the beginning, give 1 point to each guy every turn.
i cant think of any strategy thread discussing a build order. to me, what i build depends on what i research, and i dont stick to any order game-to-game when i research. the order i generally follow is: 1st -planet quality enhancements 2nd -everything that has 0 maintenence 3rd -anything that has a good economic bonus 4th -moral enhancement that has low maintenence costs 5th -all influence bonus items 6th -research bonus items as with achievements, wond
kinda sounds like that one scenario in sim city, where you make a map with no land, all of it is underwater -if you want land, you gotta build land at $100 a square. i guess it is possible to win a game like that on cakewalk. i know if you pick a tiny map, and make habitable planets rare, you can do it. in that map setup, the AI players would only have about 1 planet each -they would be lucky if they find a second planet. however, what happens if an AI surrenders to you or if a plane
well, we did have about 10,000 members in 1970, but now we have just 4 members -almost all the positions became obsolete due to computers LOL
