Danny, I don't believe there's any normal way in HTML to do the indentation that you implemented manually. As Dan notes, using the tag to make paragraph breaks is the generally accepted alternative in online documents. There are other ways to achieve the effect you desire, but the one you've already come upon is probably the simplest. The "External Link" option is just a spot where you can optionally put in a URL, and have

In a companion piece to my "42 things about me" article, here are 42 things you should know about Krystal: She: 1) is about 21.2 pounds. 2) will be 11 months old next Wednesday 3) is about 30" tall. 4) can pull herself up. 5) can crawl like crazy. 6) hates having her face scrubbed after a meal. 7) hates having her hands scrubbed a

Actually, DRMiler, 34% of Bush voters listed Moral Issues as their most important issue. 33% listed Terrorism. After that you have Iraq (8%), Economy (7%), Other (7%), tax (5%), health (4%), and Education (2%). This is calculated from the CNN poll previously mentioned, based on their stats in the "Most Important Issue" section.

Frankly, doc, the content of your arguments is about as good as your spelling. I jumped in because I like to assist people who have reading comprehension issues. When someone states "I don't understand X", I will often hop in and try to spell out what I took to be the meaning of the issue in question. I try to clarify, to elucidate, and to enlighten. Since you asked "what's so unoriginal", I answered. To meaningfully oppose a few o

Doc, Speaking of missing the point, I was telling you why your post was unoriginal. I was not attempting to debate you about the issues that you raise (except the clearly fallacious "smarter states" one.) You made an invalid assumption about me; namely, that I support Bush. Then you made a second invalid assumption (I'll presume it was for humor's sake) that I think Bush is stupid. Quite the contrary. While Bush is almost certainly less i

Well, I've got broadband all over, so I can't speak from experience; but I do believe that, while all loading tabs do load simultaneously, the tab that has focus gets priority in its loading. And if it's already loaded completely, then of course you can keep moving about in it, scrolling, clicking, whatever, while the other tabs load.

I have to take issue with the inclusion of "Han shoots first" in the litany of other pointless nitpicking complaints. Although it is a small and fairly subtle point, having him not shoot first changes his character dynamic in that it makes him much more of a "good guy" right from the start, rather than a charming scoundrel who is, in some sense, redeemed through his association with the rebels. That change in character is what is being protested, not

Just to nitpick, second line should be "contemptuous" (feeling contempt toward something), not "contemptible" (deserving of others' contempt).

Essencay, tabbed browsers eliminate most of the need for that sort of functionality. If you want to refer to the link at your leisure, just Alt-Click on the link to make it open in a new tab, and keep reading. Then whenever you feel like it, you can check out the other tab. Okay, it is limited to the same browsing session, so if you're looking to cover that angle too, then you would need something else.

I like how it turned out too. I really enjoy the pastel-ish, impressionistic look of the center picture in particular. The one on the right, on the other hand, doesn't have enough contrast in it; I think you need a source picture that is more variegated for that one.

what do u guys mean by 'nothing original' ? doc, I'll summarize your post for you, and you can tell me what's original about it: Bush is Stupid. Americans are stupid. Kerry supporters are smarter than everybody else. Kerry is a genius. Michael Moore is great. Bush is a cowar

I was only half kidding, I remember you mentioning once before that you spent 4 straight hours on it, and that's (a) way too much time doing the same thing over and over, and (b) way too unproductive when you could have been gardening or cranking out more delightful articles or posts.

Deference, you said that morals were the main factor among a MAJORITY (more than all other issues combined) of BUSH voters. DRMiler corrected you because it only received 22% among ALL voters (as mentioned on CNN.com ). Yes, as you mention, it did receive a PLURALITY (more than any other single issue), but that is very far from your original statement.<br

The LCD monitor does have several significant advantages, mainly: Naturally flat screen (no curvature), much smaller footprint, less moving parts to wear out, and no problems with focus or blurriness (each pixel is independently owned and operated; no electron gun to go out of whack). The CRT still has the advantage in cost (though LCDs are gaining as the technology matures), response time (LCD pixels generally take at least 20milliseconds to change

It depends an awful lot on the scope that you're considering. Within the known universe as a whole, yeah, you're damn insignificant, at least as far as I can tell. Within the scope of your neighborhood, or your family, or your city block, or whatever, your influence is probably fairly noticeable. What do you want to have an effect upon?

Not quite sure to whom I should address this remark, but let me put the following thought into the general conversation, at least: Democratic nastiness was probably not a significant factor in convincing undecided voters to vote for Bush. It probably was a factor in convincing lukewarm Bush-supporters to vote AT ALL. As such it might have motivated only 0.5% of the population (one in two hundred), but when Bush wins 51-49 with 50%

Well, on the one hand, I certainly agree, if you want to post random unverified stuff, it's your blog, you can go right ahead. But on the other hand, when that sort of stuff is clearly out of your normal range (and of lesser quality, or easily demonstrated to be false) I feel that it diminishes the overall quality of your blog by its presence. I tend to think that if it's something you got in e-mail and it's interesting enough that you're wil
