I bought it when it came out. I've got 8 storage boxes of old comics. And I still follow a couple of series, although at rather irregular purchasing intervals. Today that particular issue is probably worth about $5 to $10, compared to its list of $2.25 or so....

Every breath you take Every move you make Every bond you break Every step you take I'll be watching you Every single day Every word you say Every game you play Every night you stay I'll be watching you O can't you see You belong to me How my poor heart aches with every step you take Every move you make Every vow you break Every smile you fake Every claim you stake

It was in an issue of "Badger", which was a book about a multiple-personality martial arts expert and his friend/employer, an 11th-century druid who could control the weather. The Badger (the martial artist) went on a mission to (supposedly) help save a thylacine which had been spotted in the wild by a group of conservationists. On the way he ran into The Wombat, an Aussie hero. E

I don't think it's necessarily any single thing that you're actually overlooking, it's just the feeling that there's too much stuff going on, there are too many things for which you are responsible and that you have to keep track of, and your subconscious has this idea that you're bound to miss something important eventually. I also think that as you continue to manage your life successfully, you'll have the dream less and less.

TaBoo, 1) Public Domain, at this point, is basically anything published prior to about 1932. After that it starts getting murky. If it was published before 1986 and does not have a copyright notice on it, then it's probably public domain too. If it was published after 1986 then it is presumed to be copyrighted until proven otherwise. 1a) You didn't ask, but Fair Use is a very nebulous concept. A couple of sentences or a paragraph

It is somewhat better and I appreciate that you changed it. But if you're soliciting advice, I have a simple suggestion for how it could be much better than it is: Delete every sentence containing the word "Andy". Then if you want, you can replace the George Carlin line with something to the effect of "it's an amusing rant in the style of Andy Rooney (though not by Rooney himself). I agree with it X%!" (replace X with a number of your c

As to the choice issue, I'll reiterate what I said quite a long time ago, with some elaborations. Ask just about any homosexual, and they will tell you that if there were a conscious choice to be made, they would have chosen to be normal and accepted instead of living the life of the marginalized, oppressed outsider. Actual homosexuals overwhelmingly deny that there is any conscious aspect of being homosexual. While there is no "gay

Tex, I think the "losing ID/credit/debit cards" element of your dreams is fairly straightforward: fear of having overlooked something important. It's the old "too many things are going on, can I really juggle all my responsibilities successfully?" sort of worry. Losing your ID cards etc. is probably just the easiest way for your subconscious to express its concern that you've let something crucial get away from you.

I have nothing in particular against people who occasionally cut and paste an item or article from somewhere else and present it as a blog entry. I don't even mind it TOO much when they don't bother to look into the origin of the item and post it with uncritical approval or endorsement. What I find completely objectionable is when someone points out somethin

I say outright that I don't consider it to be fact ahead of time If you had indeed said that outright, I wouldn't feel the need to argue this with you. In fact all you have is an inference that a similar piece was falsely attributed to someone else. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=cente

inerasable (is that even a word?) ink I think the word you want is "indelible". On the topic at hand, I think N-way (for N > 2) sex would work best among people who are in it for the act of sex, not for the higher love. Physical attraction is all that's needed (or wanted, I would tend to think

snopes.com Sorry but I don't believe that applies. Your article says 2003. Mine says within last couple of weeks (2004). Yes, I'm SURE that after Andy Rooney debunked the authorship of the article, saying "Some of the remarks, which I will not repeat here, are viciously racist and the spirit of

Actually, you need them on the o, too, don't you? Mötley Crüe. For O-umlaut, hold the Alt-key and type "148" on your keypad. For U-umlaut, hold the Alt-key and type "129" on your keypad. Now for some reason, my browser (FireFox) doesn't like it when you do the Alt-148, it interprets it as a "Back" command. For that I ended up cut-and-pasting from another window. My songs were: "21st Century Schizoid Man" by King Crimson<

Well, I'll sum it up here quickly: In standard English usage, punctuation marks always go inside the quotation marks. (Of course there are some exceptions, as with anything else in English, but this is the rule to follow.) In Computer Science usage, punctuation marks that are not part of what you actually need to quote go outside the quote marks. It's the difference between: Type "Hello." (standard English, but ambiguous--do I type

That "Broward machines count backward" article is a clear case of programmer stupidity (using signed integer variables) being "fixed" by adding poorly-understood and badly-communicated process limitations. One more case where the machine shouldn't have been certified in the first place.
