the 30 second clock on the poker tournament... Whoa! Okay, THAT sounds tense. A mere thirty seconds to decide if you're in or out? Yeah, that would ratchet the anxiety level up a few notches.... <TD

Ah, Winston Churchill. What a guy.
Sorry, but I'm with Mark Twain: "Golf is a good walk spoiled." Getting more exercise from golf is kind of a negative; you get too much exercise in one huge chunk. Who wants to pay $50 for the privilege of spending 3-4 hours traipsing around after a little ball for 4 miles?? 2/3 to 1 mile is a nice, pleasant chunk of exercise, and a frisbee is easier to spot, too.
One of the cool things about poker is that as long as you have the money you get the chance to play world champions; not everyone gets to play Kasparov, Agassi, or Tiger Woods Actually, that's one of the cool things about table tennis, in the US anyway; you can enter the Open event at a large tournament
I mentioned to dharmagirl in one of her threads about hobbies that I am an avid frisbee golfer. Since she was so interested in finding out more about it, I thought I should take the opportunity to try to expose a few more of you to the sport. It's fun, it's cheap, it's good exercise, and it's easy if you know how to throw a frisbee and walk. (And you don't even hav
i even shot somebody in the butt !. (most unlike me). You like to look 'em in the eye when you waste 'em, eh? I played paintball a couple of times, a long time ago. I enjoyed it too, but (a) it's a loooong way out of town, (b)
Don't let your head get TOO swelled, but I read all your articles. (Hopefully most of your comments, too.) And Australia is one of my favorite places that I haven't been to yet.
I stay home a lot too, but it's just because I'm an antisocial bastard.
Well, I read slashdot pretty regularly and it got a mention on the front page there. What can I say, I'm just well-informed. Still, it does go to show that if you're posting stuff in your blog that you want to make sure is preserved, MAKE COPIES. Don't rely on the web site to be there forever.
You probably would have gotten a lot more hits if you'd mentioned GWBush in the title... you could rationalize it by saying that the aboriginals are well-known as "Bush men".
FYI, that story dates from mid-June.
Hey, Gideon. I have played your basic backyard bocce ball occasionally. I agree, it's fun and low-impact. I don't think my yard would be very good for it right now, though, since it's almost all either downhill or trees. My dad was the Maryland Amateur Chess Champion in 2000, got his USCF rating over 2000 briefly as a result, and had quite a few good results in a variety of tournaments. I got a few of his chess books (mostly the more basic
You do the typical praying position and someone will see and comment about it. who said you had to assume the traditional praying position? You can't pray any other way? </T
How many men fantasize about a threesome Saturday night and then rail against homosexuality on Sunday morning at church? Wahine, I'll be very impressed if you can quote a Bible verse that mentions menages a trois as being sinful.
Congonkulations, Gid!
at times when I'm watching TV I bite my toe nails (Jerry Lewis mode on) HooOOOYYYYLLL!! (mode off) how do you guys make the quotes of other people yellow? </TAB
Zero is as much of a number as pi, e, sqrt(3) + 2i, or -12. However, 1 is the multiplicative and divisive number identity.
I am praying for a good solid win for whichever party wins. Ah, but how will you be able to trust that it was in fact a good solid win, and not a significant set of rigged machines?
That's taking personal accountability a little too far into personal accounting.
I wish it was a case of me being clever rather than a case of thinking faster than my little fingers can type! Oh well! To be honest, I thought that might have been the case, but I figured I'd give you the benefit of the doubt. It was still amusing anyway. <img src="../images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0
Why thank you. I could ramble on for pages about how amazingly cute my little girl is and how she's going to be the most wonderful thing ever to grace this planet, and possibly several others. The poem is actually a pretty accurate representation of this morning, by the way.
shadesofgrey said: comments that you have responded to on that thread are the ones were people are taking a shot at Christianity. I know I took a lot of time to construct two comments, both of which were holy ignored. Nice pun
Lord Shitzu said: citahellion's impressive, well thought out explanation of why we believe that gay people who have become born again are supressing their TRUE NATURE, including a great metaphor in the idea of wearing women's clothing does not make you a woman. It also explains not just WHY we think this way, but also what ex

Hello little cutie pie you just woke up, and so did I I gaze at you as you lie there with big, dark eyes and tousled hair. Hello little eager one up every morning with the sun you smile and squeal as I come in can't wait to have the day begin. Hello little lovely girl you coo and chatter to the world then flail your a
