Not to one-up you per se, but my mother-in-law went from the -40s to the 90s in the same time period.... Now admittedly it's pretty rare for Alaska to see 90+-degree days, but they do get 70's pretty regularly in the summer. Right now it's supposed to be mid-80's in North Pole. (She came to see us in December, when it was in the teens here (I'm also in MN), and she kept her jacket open pretty much the whole time because it was "so warm".)

Yes, I counted them. I was after her to toss all her unmatched socks and she said she hardly had any actual pairs left, so I went through her sock drawer and counted each pair as I tossed it out onto the bed. While I was doing this, by the way, I discovered a couple more stashes of unmatched socks. There were only 21 pairs in the drawer, and not all were Nike socks, so with the other socks that I found I was able to match 7 more pairs of white socks
