No apology necessary. It's your project - you do what you like with it. Since it's your project, it's your timetable too. I felt the instruction to "follow the rules or be moderated" - which were never actually discussed, although Ray obviously feels 'unwritten' ones existed - were heavy handed for a bunch of gamers just contributing for fun. Thus, I am going to take Ray's advice and press on and enjoy my writing, elsewhere. Good luck to you. Cheers. :)

Count Dooku I'm with CypherPax on the monitor. The old cathode ray tubes are still best for FPS with that spanking video card I'm sure you've got. I did think that LCDs are FIXED resolution, although Yoda's comment has me a little confused. I use an LCD at work - fixed 1024x768. And the cathodes are cheaper - you could afford a 19 inch for the same price as a 17 inch LCD!

A small voice of disagreement: I left this thread alone waiting to see what the response would be. I wonder if the lack of nominations means that players don't want to look back through hundreds of posts to find their favourite. Also, I wonder if it isn't nicer to simply have a way of recognising and appreciating writers without burdening us all with events, awards, rating systems, deadlines, etc. Perhaps a system akin to the Baseball Hall of Fame, where people who have written well are
