I got the same problem at the "what should be in the expansion thread... with wrong set quote, too. strangely enough, the thread seems to display right for everyone else, but completly messed up for me.

Good idea, Gezz. Should be not big deal to at and everybody could get the info he wants to see with on simple click.
Thanx :) Stupid computer! Stop it! *slaps the monitor*
I started out playing around with the galciv-writer (WOW, Hawaii - awesome piece of work!) and got some nice ideas for events I'd like to write and upload. My main problem is that I lack pics... and I haven't got the skill and time to make them myself. Does anybody of you have some pics or links where I can get some pics that would fit into galciv? I'm only interested in stuff that can be used without getting into copyright-trouble! Thanks in advance, the Yellow Sign
I'll do my best. Gruesse, Martin
...seems like I somehow killed the "Things you would like to see in a Galactic Civilization expansion set"-thread with my last posting, although I'm not quite sure how I did this. Or is it just a local prob and my PC doesn't display the page correctly? Looks al screwed up... Sorry... the Yellow Sign

The to most important things: 1) More flexible events, as mentioned often before, and linked events, which will be there, as I read, and that made me quite happy. :) 2) Keep upgrading the AI again and again. Some thoughts to the previous postings: @#226 by Citizen Nebuchad - 5/21/2003 12:44:37 PM
B) Sector control...
And what about a sector with systems owned by different races in it? Freighters? Allies? Must be some excemption there... but
4. What just got built. When on the building screen, I usually want to know what the planet just finished building.
I was wishing that feature was there a lot of times! Yeah, it would be a real good idea! Further, the graphs, esp. science, need some work - see here: http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=42311#42564 Greets, the Yellow Sign
Want to bring that old thread up again because I agree about the science graph. The actual spending doesn't say anything - what the graph SHOULD display is hoe technological advenced the races are. The graph as to show me: That civ is on the same tech level like me, that one is in the stoneage etc. What it shows right now is quite useless. Two ways two implement this: 1. Quite simple, the graph shows the number of technology each civs knows. 2. A bit more sophisticated, but still qui
(sorry that I didn't check 500+ messages if this was reported before;)) Two minor bugs, nothing really serious. Both observed in 1.01 and 1.03 as well: 1. When the 'Civ with most influence'-PopUp appears, I often see one of the minor races with only one planet as 1st. Either there is some bug in the calculation or (only explanation I can think of) the minor race has been buying larg amounts of influence - which would be pretty stupid. 2. When renaming ships with na
Hi everyone, I just started playing GalCiv one week ago (haven't done much else in that time;)) and here are some things about the AI that I haven't figured out yet: 1. Do the minor races have good/neutral/evil settings like the big ones? 2. Do the AIs always big the same party and bonus configuration, if not: How do they decide what to choose, is it just random? 3. I'm just playing a game (large, normal) with all AIs set to neutral. Very balanced and interesting s
Just found something for you - check this thread: http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GS&id=52553 Lot's of could ideas in there.
"The first thing that I feel unsure of is my social project: I'm going for civ-style development: something is being built at all times. Is this a bad idea for GalCiv? Should I only selectively be building planets?" Definitly - I made the same mistake first. ;) Building to much social projects in the beginnig phase means - you lose time in the expansion - you gotta pay maintance for a lot of stuff when your economy isn't developt Best thing in the beginnig is usuall
More sturcture - using PHP-BB or something similiar. With galciv, you created an awesome game, and your support is even more awesome. But the forum as it is makes it difficult to handle. Take for example the "What should be in the expansion?"-thread: It is very exhausting to read through everythink and keep track how different ideas develop, where people have different opinions, what was allready said usw. There should be more thread/sub-forums for that: - New Units -
