UI improvement in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Not a bug or new feature, just a little improvement I would suggest -don't know if it was mentioned before: When changing you economic setting while the right pannel displays the list of planets, this list should automaticly refresh when you change the slider settings, so you see immediatly what impact it has on the production. When you're trying to optimize you're spendings, you often have to click after each slider adjustment to get the updated informatiom how long the planets wil

I got the ultimate concept for you: Stop updating galciv, stop fixing bugs, stop working - just implement one new feature: Instead of medals for good metaverse ranking, hand out autograms from CariElf. No, really - look into that fanclub and stuff. Who cares about invisible starships and techtrees, when you can get a galciv-copy signed by CariElf when playing hard enough?

*sigh* I found out that I really don't have the time to make events, as much as I'd like to. And I don't know if my english is good enough to do the flavour texts. But the ideas are still there, so I thought about this: I'm gonna start another thread later where I will post short descriptions of my ideas, and whoever has got the time can write the acutal files.

Ironrod1, When the ships start disappearing, just save, quit the game and reload. Takes only 30 seconds and your ships are there again. And btw YES there is a correspondig shift when turning evil. That feature is mentioned in the doc and many other places. Sometimes it really makes sense to read this stuff. ;)

Yeah, LifeWish is right. I'm for myself have no problems of that kind, but I know several people who are colourblind and they all can't tell red from green - it is the most common form of colorblindness.

Completed my first game with the newest version yesterday. I have to say, I really like it! Especially the early tech & trading is way more balanced now. Hm, if you keep upgrading the AI the way you do now for some more months, you'll create a monster! (Please do it ;)) [Message Edited]

Code Monkey, I join. :) Reasons: 1. Inverts are cool and very beautiful. They often appear in my paintings and writings. And I'd love to fight under the spider-banner - which also reminds me of Spider Jerusalem, if anybody knows who that is. 2. I always enjoyed your post and have some sympathy for a fellow programer. 3. I just feel like doing it, and there is no Bobo-empire to join. :)

The pure goods ones tend to be a bit.. fanatic sometimes, when you're neutral, you're sometime considered "as good as evil" by the pure good ones. Better set the AIs to neutral.

Looking for an empire in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Okay, I decided to join an empire finally, but I haven't decided which one. So make me an offer. :) If you need some info: I'm german, but working in the US at the moment, and I'm looking for a relaxed just-for-the-fun-of-gaming kinda empire - no hardcore "we're the best & only playing day&night to rule the metaverse", please. ;) So, anyone interested? (btw, I won't join one of the Top5 empires, they're big enough allready!)

There is one you must include, unfortuneatly I can't remember who wrote it and in which thread it was, but it went something like this: "I always try to finish the Tolarians as fast as possible, because I don't want to hurt there feelings so bad." :D If I got the time, I will look it up. When a Survey Ship is set on "Auto Survey" and stumbles upon a whormhole-anomaly, it is not teleported, but remains in its position. I think this bug appeared in early version allready, but I first started watching it closer in 1.04.059. I can now confirem this allways happens.
