Did you open it from the Altarian Prophecy folder? AP installs to a seprate folder, with a seperate EXE file. If thats not the problem then it is probally an error in the installation. [Message Edited]

And if you don't still have the recipt try clicking 'Look up serial number' under SDCs Tools tab. ~SDC~
It is very easy, don't why it seems hard. With any Stardock Serial number: If you bought the game online, it should be in the e-mail recipt, just under the download links. If you bought it from a store it should be on the back of your cd case. ~SDC~ [Message Edited]
There is no difference really between the races not counting what you can change in the menus, other than appearence. I have never seen how the game would be improved that much by being able to play another race. ~SDC~

Also even if you are a level 3 or 4 user, you can only edit a post within 15 minutes of making it.
Now I could be wrong, but has anyone here ever actually watched Al Jazeera and understand Arabic to be able to confirm this? Or do you just assume this is the only thing they report on? Yes, it is at least my understanding they are simply giving you a gift. You doing the same thing in reverse of course is one way to improve relations. The game simply uses confusing language, saying they wish to trade. ~SDC~
The formula has been posted numerous times in the past, though you probably have to dig deep in the archives to find it. Since I don't care about the Metaverse I haven't taken the time to memorize it myself, but there is a square root of something somewhere in there, in addition to your total score. I can't say anything beyond that though. ~SDC~

I haven't seen front page news about it, but over the nearly a year I've been here I've seen at least several posts from Frogboy about it on the forums including a planned sometime in 2005 release. ~SDC~
You can't create alliance with a race you are at war with if thats what you mean. To create an alliance both you and the race want to ally with need to have the alliance tech, and you need to have close relations. ~SDC~

I don't think it's anything to worry about. You have shown you can still post to the Galactic Council even after starting this thread. That means you have really only been demoted in title. You are a citizen but you still have the only real benefit to being promoted to veteran. ~SDC~
It's perfectly acceptable to resubmit a save one time. Any attempts after that the metaverse will ignore. ~SDC~

The bonus pack isn't seperate anymore, they added it to the regular game download. Don't bother looking for it. And the serial number will be on the back of the cd case if you bought from a store, if you bought it online it should be in your e-mail recipt. ~SDC~

From what I've read over the months I don't think playing another race is ever going to come to GalCiv, and Frogboy has made it clear that its the same for multiplayer. Maybe GalCiv2 though (he said multiplayer is still being considered for GalCiv2), but that might even be a streach. ~SDC~
