I think it's supposed to be assumed by now any new version could mess up an old game, and that you should finish an old game before updating. By now warnings shouldn't be necessary except perhaps to newer players who may not be aware new versions can mess up old games. ~SDC~
I admit I'm curious, as well, but would never go out and spend money on something so hated. I am probably the weirdest person here, as I've never played any of the MOO titles
never played one either, was slightly tempted to get 3 when they were literally paying people to take it off their hands but other than that never was. ~SDC~
There were satillites sent out in the 60's or 70's I think it was with the intention of passing Pluto after taking pictures of the solar system, but that it would take a very long time. I don't know if they actually have made it that far yet though.
Well, I kind of agree with AntonChanning : the whole population shouldn't count as soldiers. And even if you get 20% of them to switch sides, having these 20% help you kill all the 80% left still looks like genocide to me (specially since we are talking about billions of people !
Actually really it isn't, because 'population' always refers to taxpayers only. I think thats in the manual and has been repeated by Frogboy. ~SDC~
I have not received any answer from Stardock, this maybe is not in the top priority list.
Probably not, they want the patch out as soon as possible and the alpha of the expansion by christmas week. ~SDC~
My opinion, it's none of our damned business what she does behind closed doors and with her husband. According to the yahoo news article I read about this awhile ago, the reason a big deal was made out of it was that like the first posts says, the picture was taken in the mayors office and it 'shamed the office of mayor' or something like that.
Some of the things you ask for may have copyright issues.
reading back his earlier posts he could be asking why bootskins beat Rainlendar.
Cloaking isn't in the game, in that way at least. That was probably the invisible ship bug, which Stardock has said would take too much work to make a patch for. But can be temporarily fixed by saving and reloading the game. ~SDC~
It's been asked if it could be played on Linux before (as well as Mac), and as I recall CariElf's answer was because of DirectX and other windows specifc files it couldn't be done. ~SDC~
It's not a bug that the skull and crossbones stays. Because no matter what you do if that happens to the same planet a second time from the same race it will defect, the skull and crossbones is a warning. ~SDC~
There really should be some option to roll back to a previous stable version. I should be able to re-download and play 1.11.
I believe if you use Archive and Restore through Stardock Central you can. But it would be too late to now since you manually have to archive it while it's available. ~SDC~
Can say well Technician because you are not a Maso player, which is true but I notice none maso players with higher rank and inactive members have not got busted done in rank.
I really really doubt you have to be a maso player to be a veteran. I have submitted one game to the metaverse since June, it was a beginner game and I still got Veteran. ~SDC~
Well the only thing I now miss is the knowledge if there really is a cheat like that and if yes how it does work!
We don't have it, what she said is the people at Stardock have it but they didn't give it to us. ~SDC~
mods in general don't, but it's possible if they are too strong especially Planet Quality ones to give you a 0 score. ~SDC~
The UP is screwed up at the moment only doing two or three different votes, it will be fixed in the update. ~SDC~
Thanks very much for the information. Is it recommended to to build all / most social projects on all your plants?
I don't tend to play long enough to find out persoanlly, but it's my understanding you generally can't afford to build everything on every planet. ~SDC~
So when can we expect this new update?
They haven't been anymore specific than sometime this week. ~SDC~
It's a combination of your score and number of games played. Someone else can probably give you the exact numbers. ~SDC~
And a PBEM/Internet capabilities which we will not get.
Actually Frogboy has said this could be in Galciv 2, just won't ever be in 1. ~SDC~
The correct information is you need to be level 4 or an apprentice.
Yeah she said it would be this week. Since this week has just begun they have plenty of time. ~SDC~
Since installing 1.12, I only ever seem to get the ~UP HQ~ UP event i.e. sector x and neighbouring sectors gets +50 Influence fr 2 years, even after researching diplomacy. i.e. the same topic comes up at UP meetings every single time. I have not received any other UP topics since downloading the patch. At least 6 or 7 meetings.
That will be fixed in the next update which will be released next week. ~SDC~
You should probably install the patches. With how many patches there have been it's quite likely it's been fixed in one of them. It's probably the first thing anyone from Stardock will say before trying to help you anyways. ~SDC~
Carielf said it would be fixed in the next update, not sure when thats going to be though. ~SDC~
