If you have already submitted the game under another player name, your resubmission will be rejected. You can't recover that game without destroying your current account. For the low down, check out this http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=80052

To Ares1001, I think Lord KiRon was correct. Your monitor is crap!! :p I haven't said get a better monitor yet, so don't slap me. To Quantum73, You've made your desire for supporting different resolutions pretty clear. Now you'll just have to wait for Stardock to determine whether there is enough demand for the feature and how much resource to devote to implementing the feature. Anyways, this is the first big game stardock has published, so they are stil

I have to say that not trading for tech is very boring to play. It's harder but so much slower. Right now I just finished testing out a new land grab technique, but it looks like it's going to only work on gigantic. But I've played two years where I am not trading for any tech at all. All I know is that it's going to be long game.

One of the things they never quite explain is the economic sliders. You should check those out first. One of the sliders sets total spending as a percent of total capacity. The other three slider determine the portion of spending that gets relegated to each part of empire development. Most players set spening to 100% and put about 75-80% in military to really churn out those colony ships. Resources starbases are of little value early in the game. They only give you a 5

They take about 8 hours or so mininum depending on your computer speeds. Every bit of fighting, star base construction, and wonder building requires additional time. Governors really streamline the process. If you manage to build all the wonders and trade goods, and own about half of the map, many planets should start flipping by the end of the tech tree. The remaining ones just take a little bit of nudging - destabilization or a couple party palaces.

Tactically, military enhancement starbases are very vulnerable unless surrounded completely by military. Such an arrangement costs an arm and a leg in maintenance. The best way to punch through that is to economically starve to death, by ignoring the sector until the end. It's seige warfare in space! If the starbases are not surrounded by military, you can bring in 30 constructors, build 10 speed upgrade star bases and send in a capital ship to destroy every single starbase.

If you want some examples of the scoring system at work. I'm in the chat room. Maybe you can explain the tech cost increasing bit to me, too. Do costs get more expensive as you do more research?? I like the quick rush better than the cultural assimilation and usually forgo quite a few trade goods to continue my attack. I don't particularly do infrastucture construction very well and leave it to my governors. I also like tactical battles and my games to on the short end. When I do get in

It's 30/31 days and depends on date of last submission. I think that number explained Staffa's jump the best, and his lack of similar sized jumps before. It also best explains the ability to lose points on submissions during the middle of the month. And if you remember, you had a pretty good jump when you submitted on the 14th to overtake Staffa. Look at your games and you will see the four so games that made the world of difference. To Mad Prophet I've gotten tired of real

Mad Prophet, the division by number of games played really puts a damper on that. But based on current knowledge of the scoring process, you should experience a sharper rise in scores with each submission after this week. Coincidentally, I will too, as will many other people in the Fellowship.
3/ There is no way to spy or destabilize the minor races, to see what aliances they have with major races or to try to break these aliances. This makes starting a war with one of them a real hazard because they might be allied with everyone else (which is often the case of the I-league, for some reason).
you can check out their relations quite easily in the diplomatic screen - it's one of the buttons below the picture.
So what happened to sector influenc
