I'm adding some rare buildings to the city level up options. The idea is that they will be flat out better in the vast majority of cases, but you won't see them very often. Basically a "oh cool! I got a special!" when you level up your city above and beyond the normal. You might see one every 7-8 cities. Some of the buildings I have added so far level 3 Fortress, Psionic Training Academy (all troops trained in

If we don't want to spend time winning against all odds and bashing our heads against a brick wall that's fair enough. Besides, some starts are better than you might think, so it is almost impossible to have an "optimum" start. I play the game without reloading once I've got a decent start position. But since we'
No problems here still and I've been loading and reloading different saves over n over testing it and still no crashes. Must be something on their ends. I'm figuring virus protection programs.

Having to manually change magazines is realistic and can be the difference between life and death sometimes. Oh ok I got that, thanks. ;)
Where did you get a 1.3 beta build?
Obviously the reloading of saved games was because the game ends when you win. Kinda hard to go after a different victory conditions in the same game when the game's over. Generally when I lose a game, I start over. Do you keep staring at the defeat screen? That game's over at that point. Move on. You can start a new one.
I'm more talkin
Well, I'm for you creating a different race of beings in the line of more fantasy types that come from LOWER EARTH (not middle earth as not to copy Tolkiens stuff ;0) ), Horrible creatures and races of the depths of HELL and beyond (wonder what lies beyond the lowest levels of hell??) I've always wanted to take on the 13 levels of hell itself (something I read there were 13 levels Dante's Painting perhaps???) Maybe something where there's
Well for me it's like saying "any" weapon could kill a vampire or a werewolf now whereas the old way you would have needed a "piercing wooded" weapon for vampires and a "silver piercing or slashing" to kill a werewolf. These are just basic examples. But, different damage type would have more or less quality based on armor hit as well as creature types. Now with dumbing down you just pick your weapon of choice some area axe that hits 3 targets at
Now I get it there are just people who like to cheat and then brag about their accomplishments and then those that love them. Yeah right "I'm" the forum troll hahah look in the mirror.
1.29 works great for me not a single crash and up to 100 turns now. I guess it goes to show an i7 with vista 64 and an ATI RAEDON POWER COLOR 5770 HD 1gb video card is the way to go these days. ;) The old is still better than the new I see.

RTFM? ;) Or the new one is probably RTFCL. ;)
I just claimed my first victory in a Ridiculous game this morning. It took a few games, but I got it. If you start a game and there aren't any yields near your starting city, just quit and start over, because if you can't expand, you're not going to win. I did each of the victories (saving before each one, then reloading and not doing it). Magic and Diplomatic victories are far too easy, and feel like cheating. &n
Testing it, and my starting positions seems worse than before. (decent food/production or good essence, not both) I really REALLY want you guys to implement some scaling regarding starts. Legendary Start was fricking awesome in CiV series, and something similar would be great in FE.
;)
Hi Kryo, workin on the weekend are yah? ;)
Is there a way we can "turn off" the way Heroes appear in the game in LH? I rather like the way they appear on the maps rather than just another "static" way of doing things. Having them on the map made exploring fun, now what do we have to explore for except silly quests and finding other players? You should have at least made it "OPTIONAL". Pffft another way to screw up the fun of the game.
Nevermind question answered in FAQ about Legendary Heroes. ;)
seconded, hot seat wouldn't be too difficult to implement I hope and we'll have at least a placeholder for multiplayer
I love these ^ posts when one has "no clue" how difficult anything would be to implement in a particular game. lol Yes Froggy this is easy and that is easy I know because I know nothing about how you program games I just know if I can THINK it in 2 seconds you should be able to program it in
The one where you pick the type of difficulty the AI opponents will be. As it has all the levels of difficulty per opponent could you please add one more "RANDOM"? It has Novice to Ridiculous but no RANDOM and that would be awesome to add this little feature so a player doesn't know what he's up against when he runs into those opponents. It might be a pushover novice or it might be a Ridiculous or something in between.
Quoting willie sanderson, reply 80 Quoting Mtn_Man, reply 76Agreed. The AI shouldn't be coordinating with the sole purpose of defeating the player. I disagree because as humaans when we play games against one another that IS the SOUL purpose in playing the game...defeating the others. And if one player is taking the lead it is the soul purpose of those other players behind to go after th
The second major cut is in the form of damage types. Previously, in combat players had to remember a lot of different damage types going into combat and what worked on what, an so forth. Both Stardock and its players found this confusing, and as such they’re cutting damage types from the game and replacing them with weapons that have different abilities. Axes will have Cleave, Warriors might have Crushing Blow, and so forth
Bad: -AI still makes no use of mages, even when it has the crystal. Archers AND mages would make it very hard to steamroll, and force you to change army design during wars. -AI still could build its stacks more efficiently. Doesn't makes sense to send out a partially full stack when your intent is direct combat. -AI doesn't entirely understand population cost for pioneers. It still spams the
