(I know at least 6 more people I know would buy FE if it had working multiplayer.)
Yeah yeah blah blah typical generalized statement just like I know 100 people who BOUGHT this game because of SOLO play being more important than multiplayer play. It has no value to me that you know 6 people that would buy to play multiplayer. There's also no real value in WASTING resources for a handful of people who would play multiplayer.
Besides, Stardock have been pretty clear that catering to the multiplayer crowd really isn't viable for their profit (and thus the long-term goals of the franchise).
And that ^ is a GREAT thing. I've always hated developers wasting time and resources on adding in multiplayer when there is such a SMALL community out there that even pl

I quit 7 years ago though and it feels good not to get up coughing and hacking and spitting up yuck. lol Well I wouldn't go so far as to say it ruined my ability to go back to TROPICO as I still love that game. I even enjoy the first one over III and IV because the AI doesn't go after you as much as i

I think this would be a great optional idea for difficulty levels above normal. A "REVENGE" option given to the AI when the human player wins. The next game he/she plays gives a few more bonuses to the AI and also make the AI MORE AGGRESSIVE to the human player each time he/she wins until they lose, then it resets itself. It would also have the ai's as the human player wins to be more likely the ALLY with its
Quoting willie sanderson, reply 13 Cmon now how hard is it to make an AI that will STOMP us humans? In terms of raw processing power, modern computers are dumber than insects. We rely on human insight to turn their capabilities into something useful, but ultimately that use is still a reflection of human understanding. In other words: this is hard.
Have to disagree with yo
You ever notice that in just about ALL games now there are threads about how bad the AI is? Why do we keep buying these products when of course we can see they AI's aren't getting enough love when creating these games. Why are graphics so damn important? Why is the UI so damn important when the AI is crap and the game becomes not worth buying or playing anyways? We should boycott games until they finally make a decent AI. It's as bad as gamers buying games knowing that there
The thing is there are so many "different" experienced players playing computer games it's impossible to make an AI that will challenge ALL of them. Some of us are very experienced intelligent humans and it would be very hard to make an ai challenging to us without making it unfun and frustrating to the "normals" out there who only play these game "casually". I for one gave up on an intelligent AI a long time ago and was willing to settle for sliders and increases in resourc
The AI doesn't look at the POWER RATINGS like you do. The power ratings are there for YOU to see how YOU are doing. The AI is acting on its OWN decisions of what IT wants to do. You should play a game WITHOUT LOOKING at the power ratings and then it will be a lot more fun. Power ratings are there for those that want to CHEAT....so don't CHEAT. ;)
I had the same problem eariler with another patch and I had to remove the entire game from my hard drive AND THE REGISTRY then downloaded the full game over again plus patch and it worked. Be aware though if you don't know what you are doing when you delete files in the registry you can screw up your whole computer and have to reinstall everything. It's not all that complicated really though if you just search for Fallen Enchantress or Stardock stuff.
Yeah I wonder how many SAVE/RELOADS the OP did before he got his optimum start and win? lol I'm sure he'll say none or maybe just one but I don't believe it at all. Those that BRAG usually are just inferior in life and need some game to puff them up. lol Seen it too often and read it in too many posts in too many game forums.
Just don't change that raiding monsters raze cities immediately and I'll be happy. It's a great balance and fair to the AI to be able to do this. Thanks ;)
This has happened to me in 1.01 in a challenging game. willie sanderson the AI should have to play by the same game rules as us humans otherwise what is the point of playing. The developers have told us that the on challenging and lower the AI plays by the same rules as us. Nakisisa
Developers never tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth
Yep working as intended so IT's NO BUG! sorry ;)
No the AI shouldn't have to abide by the 5 turn rule since the human player can exploit it unlike the AI will exploit the human. This is a good BALANCE FEATURE of the game and I like it. Allow the monsters and even the other AI players to RAZE the human players holdings immediately. ;) Also seed any reloads from saves with the razing already done so players can't do the save/reload cheat. Someone has to finally make a game that players have to live by the RULES not the a
The best balance method I've always used is NEVER USE THE SAME STRATEGY again that I won with before. ;) I always find the perfect balance playing the AI this way. ;)

Doesn't mean it can't get better as I'm sure it will since Galactic Civilization 2 is my favorite 4x space game of all times .. FE is only average to those who consider it average. I consider it far better than average, and even in it's present state, has the lasting appeal and classic
You know what I would like, is games where you can join as a spectator and maybe give some feedback. The IDEAL way to make a multiplayer game for this TBS game is to make it for NO MORE THAN 2 players and allow each player to play the AI side of a battle when you have a human player vs an AI player. This way nobody is sitting on their hands each turn and everybody has constant tactical battle action when it arises each turn. This ^ is the only way it will really work and not become boring and time wasting. TODAYs player wants to PLAY a game not wait for someone else to play it or watch
I would say the MAJORITY will see 78 and/or 74 as a C+ and a low C not this B that Frogboy speaks of. I've never checked to see how a site grades the letters or the stars on any site when looking for review scores. So 3 stars is a 60 3.5 stars is a 70 4 stars is an 80 etc etc. A 78 is a plain and simple C+ and a 74 is a C nothing more nothing less and that is what the MAJORITY of lookers will see also. The rest of you fanbois can skew it any way you like to apease your own con

I'm sorry but I disagree again. If the Russians invade and take Washington they aren't under any obligation to wait 5 days before burning it to the ground and Washington has been around over 200 years so tough if the Americans lose their precious Washington after building it up for over TWO HUNDRED YEARS. lol Razing should be IMMEDIATE if that's what the AI or the player wants to do just like in Master of Magic.
