So if someone were to incorrectly spell the name of Jesus, consistently, you would not be bothered by it or see it as a possible sign of intentional disrespect, as long as it was done by someone who doesn't subscribe to His ideals? Nope.

I agree with your sentiments. I like the game although I do not play it as much as I like. And while it may not be ground breaking it is a lot of fun. I like the way the company publishes the game and supports it.
JillUser: Sounds like you found a good school. Nice way to handle your son wanting to go to heaven now, that was cute. I certainly believe everyone should look for their own truths. I know I did and I encourage my kids to do the same. Of course they were shown "my" enlightenment and they are emersed in it so to speak as a result of being children in my house. <
So any nurse who goes to the parent of an extremely ill infant and asks "Have you had him/her baptized yet?" should be strung up by their toenails. This happened to two of my friends. Not only were they beside themselves with fear over losing the child they just brought into the world, these jerks had to go make them fear that their child would not be saved. Yes, that is a terrible thing to do and I think I might have slapped that nurse. </fon
You could at least spell Buddha correctly....... (I am thinking that you know little about it since you don't even know how to spell it.) </TABLE
They are questions I was asking. Do you have answers to them? Maybe you are seeing them as "slams" because you can't answer them with anything but biblical terms (which is how most Christians respond)? Oh, I forgot to respond to this one. Your questions were mocking. Let's be serious, do you *really* wan
KarmaGirl, deny it all you want, you were mocking. Maybe you need to ask "What Would Bhuda Do" WWBD? And no, that was not an attack. Sigh, a typical double standard. It is okay to criticize and ridicule Christianity but if a Christian does the same or disbelieves other religions then they are being close minded. And if a Christian responds to t
How do you repair a starbase that has been damaged? Thanks
I noticed today that there are a lot of new mods including ones "Stardock Certified". I was curious how many people play with them and which ones are favored? Thanks
So if you stab me in the leg, it's OK For me to cut your head off? I am missing your logic here....... But, the problem is, if you think that I was attacking anything, you are completely wrong. You deny you were ridiculing someone there? Or are you saying your comments were not so bad? Maybe the stab in th
I'm not going to get into a debate over semantics...I have been told that they do not believe in Satan/the devil, and I will stand by that....end of discussion. That is fine. As for me, a adversary, enemy, forces of evil = what Christian's call Satan, they are the same and *some* of the Jewish scholar's I h
You obviously do not listen to yourself. Below are your *first* quotes on this article: What is you are not Christian? What if your religion does not believe in Jesus? What if the Christian interpretation is wrong? (*gasp*...but, that can't be, could it?) What if the humans th
Errmm...did you see the "I think" I put in there? That's my opinion...I'm not saying that it's true. But, no, I don't think Dan is enlightened, not judging from his recent actions. If you want to consider that to be judgemental, then I'd say that's your problem.
I have read the bible (as I already said) and it's just a bunch of stories. Sorry, can't base my life on stories. If you can't understand it, you should read it again and try. it's simple: There is no afterlife. When you die there is nothing. You never knew you existed. Does that sound scary to you? If so, clutch your b
Poetmom and sgsmitty, I think your dispute just goes to show that we all need to do our own homework and not rely on the interpretations of others. See how differently a couple of people and their Jewish friends interpreted the Torah. Why shouldn't I feel a little sceptical about the Bi
I asked another Jewish friend about Satan and Judaism. No Satan in Judaism. Perhaps SgtSmitty wishes to retract his comments. No, Of course not. Maybe your Jewish friend needs to read his book a little more. Ask him about Job, the serpent in genesis, stories in
Rats! I used the (quote) (/quote) tags, not sure what happened. Sorry.
Draginol:Now that's very interesting because there is a Jew here at the office and I asked him specifically on this. Are you Jewish or are you assuming that Judaism is merely OT? Poetmon99: I've had several Jews tell me as well that Satan/the devil is not mentioned in their Scriptures...and so far, I have found no mention of him as I've read through it. Most people do NOT realize that the Christian OT is not the same as the Jewish Tanakh, and just
JillUser - I understand. A man named Saul found the whole Christian concept disturbing as well, although he took it further by killing them. A book, verse, or story did not work for him either. May you find your answers somewhere. As for frustrating others, maybe. Although they should remember it is not their job to make you accept or see the light. They should simply present the material. As Brad said earlier you have to accept the bibl
I'm sorry guys but I find this all pretty..well funny. I know it's a serious issue but when people start quoting the bible to PROVE the writings of the bible are true it makes me start thinking of The Silmarillion by Tolkien. I know that book inside and out and it is its own mythology on how the world was created, the various go
When I die if it turns out that there really is a God, a Heaven, a Hell, (and all of these are as Christians describe them); then I will be happy to go to Hell. , spoken like a true fool.
...They know some of us won't tolerate that crap... I see nothing in BigDreamer's response that invalidates the "fire and brimstone", rather she clearly outlined the plan to avoid such. It is all a matter of delivery I guess.
It's funny how the people on JU who normally talk so much about their religion are strangely silent whenever a question about it comes up. I would not say they are silent, BigDreamer summed it up pretty well.
Having and eating the cake is not a unreal expectation considering it is a purchased product/service. If it were free then that would be different. This is a good questions, I am sure a Stardock rep will be along shortly. Thanks
War is hell, that's for sure.
