this is the kind of PC that computer users should match up against the G5... $4800 for that, $3000 for the fastest G5, and I bet the G5 will come out on top of a lot of the tests (about even in the end).

Ok, I posted this before under the "Microsoft Sucks" subject line, but this is a little more direct and maybe I'll get more of a response. Here's the problem: Photoshop opens, begins to load all plug-ins, fonts, swatches, brushes, etc (all of which come originally with the program, none were added by me). It says "Initializing" then it just goes away. There is no Photoshop app listed in the Task Manager either, so I know it's not just hidden. I was told that there was a te

#11 by IPlural - 5/27/2004 9:44:20 AM delete the temp file that PS created upon it's last operation....it should reset it all back to defaults and you will have to change measurement back to pixel from inches and such, also add the location of your secondary plugins folder if needs be. Also the styles, pallets, custom shapes, brushes and the rest will need to be reset to

ok, now that I've got your attention, I need some photoshop help Photoshop 7 is acting up. It was working fine until I turned off the computer (flipped the power switch, terrible I know) and turned it back on. Now it loads up, loads all the plug-ins, begins to initialize, and then the loading screen goes away, and nothing happens. Theres no program in the task manager, and I'm left confused. Ple
kona I think the mac looks more titanium or aluminum that anything nowadays with the casings used for the G5 abd PowerBooks. Also, they got rid of the stupid bondi-stripes from the OS and from the LCD displays [Message Edited]

Even if i dress up my PC like my mac with every bit of customization software OD has to offer, it's still no comparisson to a real Mac.
Hippy, most macs don't cost about $2000. I got my Dual 1.25GHZ G4 for about $1100 and a NEC monitor for about $50 more and it blazes
