Bump' Kit! Like Wow! Thanks alot we are modifying some of the illustrations to suite the tack you've taken. I really, really, really (sorry that means ALOT . . . I'm no Shakingthespear) like the scene you've come up with . . . you, yes you! (pointing her finger at Kit like Robert DeNero in Analyze This) Your good! . . . Yes! Yes you are! We should have the first edition up laid out by early next week (Pauls a perfectionist, he's still trying the get the Arceans right . . . basi

>>> Cotal runs through the Galactic Civilizations Forum kitchen ducking and weaving to avoid the co-lateral damage from the plates, spoons and spatulas flying every which way . . . ;p Anyway (if you'd pardon the expression . . . hehe). I accidently on purpose submitted my first loss for ages! The score was over 1000 so I couldn't resist. Suprisingly my Metaverse score went up about 2500? Since I still had plenty of time to spare I submitted another more conventional game (a win) for wh

The 'Maso' Bug? J/K . . . ;) I find the 'Neutral' Icon very relaxing to look at, so serene, so peaceful, so sleepy . . . Zzzz Zzz Zz z z hu! Edit - It lookes remarkably just like one of my best friends from primary school, her name was Egdwina. I wonder what Edgwina is doing now? Well if your out there Ewgdina and perhaps reading this I just wanted to say, sorry for throwing your 'frizzbie' on your neighbours roof. We both knew I did it on purpose but I said I didn't. Anyway

Sry still can't get the quoty thingy happening, mabye its this terminal? re the message below (This thread is out of wack enought lol) I finish work (for lack of a better word) in less that 1/2 hour . . . me thinks I might try it then, I can't believe I missed it. I admit I accidently double clicked a portrait once and saw a silloet (sp?) . . . that must be it. LOL Instant messager, what times it thier Ray? [Message Edited]

Did that work (re quotage)? It's a riot! I never knew that about the set-up portraits screen . . . so you can go head to head with an alien of your choice! That's Excellent! I'd guess there's a penalty droping the degree of difficulty doing this . . . ?

I'll try and encourage him to do a little more reading tonight. Yes, yes a starting point . . . thats a good place to beguin! I didn't mean that to sound . . . um . . . well the way it sounded, kinda like I'm completely stupid . . . Moving right along um . . . in his sketches the Torians kinda look a bit 'Dr Seuzie' if you know what I mean (build wise) with little pregnant looking tummies, and the Yor look ridiculously robotic kinda like a computer thats just gotten up in the morning

Defenders as you can see where never really ment to lap up anything defence-wise too far beyond corvettes. As crazy as it sounds combat transports with the Galactic Councils defensive phasers bonus blessing are of great defensive capability (providing you have the tech to build them drednougth tech I think, not sure). Also +50% hit points is a prety big bonus (provided your goverment holds the senate) . . . Sometimes if you see a ship approaching your system you may be better off break

Well why not . . . Here's an email address for my hubbie Paul. So far he's done some cute little pictures of the Torians (Look a little bit like Zowe and Ernie from seasame street playing peekaboo, how nice) and some lude ones of Yorish women feeling each others biceps! (He's a bit of a worry sometimes) . . . [email protected] Any Short stories suitable for a Comic Strip are welcome or indeed if you've done some doodles yourself please send them too . . . A

Kit I was hoping you'd see this! After your back in the black workwise I'd luv to get a script idea or two from you or any of your dark humoured GROSS bretheren. Your all comic geniuses (geniases, geniiasses, jeaneousus, jezuz@*&^ , dinjinouses . . . doh, you know what I mean). I figure I should really start a new thread . . . I've gone left field here big time . . .

Actually thats an interesting point regarding attacking . . . I always assumed if you clicked on a ship your attacker would track them. Noticed the other day that it ain't necessarily so . . . by the time my ship got to the place where the ship was I clicked on it was long gone. Mabye thats just a default setting thing I need to switch off though, I recall seeing something about it but forget . . . PontiusBruinPilot sorry I lost the plot when 'B and c could go at it the same time,

'domain name', what is this thing of which you speak? I am a ludite unversed in your terms and refferences . . . me have some funny little pictures that is all me know . . . hehe. Hang a sec we have a domain name (I think) trinity-tarot and/or trinitytarot but our online experimental business site is still being finished . . . it's not up until October. How do I post an e-mail link mmm . . .

121 Replies 2,509 Views

Thanks Obi Wan and PontiusBruinPilot! Saya anyone interested instarting a GC comic strip? My hubbie drew some pictures (hes a graphic designer . . . whatever that means) . . . might be fun? Just need a short script for the bubbles and a place to host it. :)

If you could do that!It would attract a whole new (and I believe very large) strata in the gaming community. While I'm absorbed in GC at the moment I miss multiplayer, there's just no substitute for interactive gaming. I know the long term goal of GC is to be able to emmulate any players style on the Metaverse and maybe some time off in the future that could be possible. But what you suggest seems quite viable and would be so warmly accepeted . . . What I wouldn't give to cha

Theoden of Rohan excellent link, I haven't checked out the LOTR Site for a while . . . its kicking along nicely, I heard there was like pictures and other goodies there too? Didn't see them though, did they get taken down? Egads GROSS is winning! Aggg! I shall double my efforts and give 200%! Is that possible? or should I say 150%? Is that double? Or is 100% all I can give . . . mmmm, now I'm confussed and I think I feel a migrain comming on, mabye even an Anyerism ;p Alterna

Veteran russellmz2 . . . good point! What is it they do wear anyhow . . . loincloths? Do they have 'loins' even? I assume they have legs . . . Is that how you spell it loin, loyn, loiun . . . ? There are some great suggestions here . . . I mean truely amazing. I just wanted to say that I didn't intend to offend or upset anyone at SD or on these boards with this thread . . . thankfully it seems most of you understand that, which is good. Practically all of you

Not really cheese but a useful hint for reducing lag on large maps (or slow computers)! When something rather graphics/sound intensive is going on (i.e. about 400 ships suddenly beguin to mobilize after the breakdown of an alliance or mabye 100 stacked corvettes decide its time to kamakasi themselves all over your most wisely upgraded Star Base . . . etc) You can just throw up a screen like the research page while each turn passes . . . Using the mini-map you can still basica

I sent out a fleet of Terror Stars for the first time ever! I cover the map with another screen to hasten the time it took for each to arrive at thier target planet (no graphics~no drag). This actually worked! Once I turned off pop-ups and the info splash stuff I could click rapidly watching my little bon-bons cruise around the map like corvettes! Well almost . . .

Ray in all honesty it's true! I installed GC on Paul's computer after he put a fresh re-install of Windows 2000 on it last night and kept getting CTD at random. I wanted to convert him over to GC rather than this stupid strip solitare (SS) a 'buddie' gave him for his birthday . . . . . . I'm a bit of a dramatist but I'd never exaggerate. Anyway I read Frogboy elude to his/(her?) disfatisfaction with the original releases stability somewhere in these forums . . . Hopefully Frogboy under
