I think I'll take Ray's advice and keep a low profile elsewhere for a while (as in anywhere other than this thred) . . . hehe. Kit you make me laugh, I needed that, thanks! Great stuff. Happy reality-thingy Vincible . . . hope it all goes to plan. Beware the EBZ matrix! Ahhhh . . . run to the hills! Theoden of Rohan I'm so sorry about your hair (oh and Hawaii's too). Every follicle will be avenged! Now where's that 'witches digest' on head shrinking . . . I'

FART! . . . opps. Your dislike of me is increasing! Excellent! :D
Snap! Yes it's amazing but it works. I think its kinda like the fact that it's a symbol of cultural respect (just like in real international posturing, hehe "WALOBS"). I noticed also that sometimes paying a tribute of 1 or 2 bc per month for a long time can chill out hostilities.
I can't wait to have Trade Embargos against other AIs. Is that in 1.09 . . . ? :notsure:
Actually I can't take the credit for this small pearl of wisdom . . . a little bit further back in the 'Expansion suggestion thread' Citizen Dark Assassin made it as a 'viable' suggestion. I wish the real world worked like this . . . Regarding the legal advice well . . . I guess I thought better of it also (the innocent pedestrian/deranged mugger scenario isn't a very nice analergy so I'm glad I didn't mention it . . . wheeew!). What would any worthwhile struggle be without a

The relationship between the ANZACs - - - edited on legal advice - - - or 'worse' in using that as an analergy . . . [Message Edited]
I digress (can't help it . . . stuck here at work and bored silly) By the bie I wish 35 plus planets had a different look too! I can't think of what could possibly look more pretty than those swirling techni-coloured clouds though. Also wouldn't it be cool if Alignment had a bearing on a planets appearence. I guess I could write a mod . . . mmm, if I knew how.
Ok, ok I was fibbing my memory is shot to heck but my conscience is still functioning . . . Use the search function (yop left) and type in " scoring" . . .
Just working from memery bro! ;)
Yes that's what happens unfortunately . . . you can negotiate a temporary peace if you think their surrender is imminent and can probably get most of their bases as a condition of treaty. Then mercilessly backstab them afterwards . . . not that I'd ever do such a thing (snicker, giggle, snort, hicup!) erhm. :HOT:
Do you mean the multiplier for scores, I don't follow . . . :notsure: Posted by Avatar Frogboy - 6/10/2003 11:36:52 PM The scoring system in 1.05 works something like the following: You start out with score X which is based on the difficulty level that is based on adding the intelligence levels of the major races. There is also a slight bonus for being of the opposite moral alignment than your opponents by a certain year (so you can't go evil and then go back
Jaws, Wayfarer, Redeemed? If you pronounce the fka outloud its a little bit naughty! Hehe . . . was that intentional or is my mind just in the gutter yet again? Oh i see formerly known as . . . opps. Thanks for clearing that up . . . I thought someone just dropped a 70 plus k bomb! ;)
LOL , my zodiacs asparagus! But you'd never pick it . . .
Ray I will do! I can't believe how agressive the maso AI is . . . it's certainly a quantum leap difficulty wise. Semi related I guess. The minors (especially the ones that appear later in the game and have all the techs I do) colinized nearly 2/3 of the planets on beginner while I wasn't paying attention . . . oppps. Even less related . . . I got so fed up trying to survive on maso I played that 10k calkwalk game as a form of 'therapy' . . . I was quite shocked at the score to
. . . well I'm trying (as best I can to play through on a very similar setting/scenario) for each of the difficulty levels! I know its been done befor but I'm finding it interesting noting the subtle changed in difficulty at each level. My first observation is that calkwalk and beginner offer 'much of a muchness' scorewise for completing the same tasks etc, eventhough in the later the AI actually 'moves' and 'occasionally' does something! The only problem with my experiment i
Nice one hut! Loooks like fun, great looking Forums too!
My submissions take a good 10 to 15 seconds to send (or so I noticed). Whats more and this sounds a little strange, if I hit the submission button more than once I get spat out of the game or I get a submission failure . . . :notsure:
Your alignment and why? Alignment . . Very Good Why . . . I am a Nun! LOL :SURPRISED:
Yes indeed! Setting the map to rare as I do and using control-N to get a good start once gave me 5 planets in one sector (3 systems) . . . I was flabergasted (sp?) because one was a 22 and earth was 20!
Thats a good tip Miles! I haven't tried that in 1.05 because (in past versions stacked constructors would only build one structure!) But if thats been fixed that'd be awsome! I gota check it out! It takes me about 3 to 4 hours to tech through to Beyond Human on a Large Map (year 2210ish or there abouts) on Normal difficulty and build absolutely everything. (War party, +++ social prod +++ millitary prod as the ability bonus settings). Having a station mining (or even mining noth
Don't think I don't feel 'screwed up' about leaving the ANZACs, because I do! It's a blight on my soul! (:( Regarding the previous post, Hippopotamus! ;p [Message Edited]
Battle Hammers Anyone? Costly (yes) Sluggish (most definately) . . . but they look great! Also Millitary transports seem to attract would be conquestidors like fly paper! If the Council votes 20 offence for these as policy I build a few load up 1 million troops and just fly them around adhoc . . . a desperate tactic I guess. I tend to build Avatars when they come up and let my economy stave off attackers, works most the time up to crippling. No hope though on Maso :notsure:
