Stats like that really bring the point home . . . You see these are the vulnrabilities of the so called Maso AI . . . 1. The Techs they research are very predictable. Theres a certain point when all the AIs are going after either Battleship or Disruptor technology (early in the game) in which you can probably get anywhere up to a dozen more rewarding Techs (in that they yield very economicaly/socially/influencialy powerful TGs and wonders) . . . they do this even in the absence

Ditto . . . until minors build combat transports beffing them up only serves to weaken the other major AIs starting position, they do seem to hang in there longer these days though which is a good thing! Also a couple of the starting ones in maso pay good money for tech all of a sudden . . . this has made maso much easier which is a bad thing! [Message Edited]

Killa I'm glad you straigtened that out, I read it and I was like 'WT?' . . . it was like that Twilight Zone episode where the guy wakes up after bumping his head and everyones speaking a different language so he ends up going to his little daughters room grabs a Sam, Pam and Digger book and just starts reading it like nothing happened . . . hehe Anyway . . . Two weed then aliminium rest phonograph then hitch intercorse with! Dare coins weed then alert intercorse studio pencil
Back to fundies: I believed the number of systems lost was based on how evil you are.
I can assure you that isn't the case. It's not precisely what moral your planet appears to have either as has been stated 100% moral is no assurance your worlds won't go all 'hippie flowers' on you when the fundies event strikes. So whats the trigger exactly? I must say a few of my games have been ruined outright by this event (thank godness for the auto save feature) but I'll get t

Back on topic . . . I had a thought (yes its true!) about Terror Stars . . . I think that at the very least one way of fixing the abussive way in which they're often used is to let the orbiting ship engauge them (makes sense since they're the last line of defence) . . . Any thoughts on that idea? This would be so exciting, especialy if the AI knew how to use TSs as well . . . [Message Edited]

Sirian, you've made some good points, I never considered sending Brad an email . . . he seems so busy but it's a thought. I did post a list of suggestions for a nightmare level of play . . . though if changing the coding is as hard as you say it might have to wait until Galactic Civilizations 2. Relatively speaking I haven't been playing maso that long compared to others here, but I have played a lot of games I guess. Vincible, thanks for the suggestion . . . regarding dominan

Thanks Sirian, JordanVmp . . . makes sense. Has anyone noticed how much more powerful Culture Palaces are these days? Im the older version isolated ones didn't seem to do much but these latest ones don't seem to require that you have any planets in the vicinity to be able to flip distant systems. :notsure:

Six hunderedoh! and one . . . hehe.
Cotal Ginata. Thanks for the thoughtful response. It was very nice of you to put it on the FotR thread so I would find it. But, I could have come over here too because it's only a short distance to your empire's thread. Wonder how close anyone can get the huge/maso to 60k? Thanks again.
Ribayer no worries . . . I hope it helps, personaly I'm not too sure 60k is possible to get in Huge Maso 1.11 (at least so

I'm not sure there was enough interest in this project to continue . . . A Second edition was scripted (some nice sketches drawm) but there weren't enough artist to do help out . . . Calling all artists out there . . . many hands make light work . . . My Email [email protected] As far as I know theres still web space available and Paul's still keen . . .
#618 by Citizen ricbayer - 11/14/2003 11:07:42 AM Hi Cotal Ginata Glad you are playing again. When you are maxing points from a huge maso do you still try to ally? I played most of my games as good against all pure evil AI until nearly getting whipped because I "got good too fast" or someting and the Drengin wanted my hide in spite of my best diplomatic efforts. I had to use a terror star rush just to win, which is not very elegant. . I am

Mmm . . . thats interesting Aeddy 80 if you get a chance to experiment, try building about 4 dozen constructors and a couple combat vessels, bring up the menu and move them all at once (constructors clicked first) to a location after rolling the slider on the right hand side . . . thats exactly whats crashing me every time. :notsure: I might have to send Cari a game (as if she isn't busy enough). I've got a fresh install yet the problem persists (doesn't phase me it's just curious).
