I am vote for it, as well as "uploading" player logo in new game creation screen.

Hm... it was same with me and GalCiv1 , actually it was not downloaded by me, my friend brought me it but after playing for couple of hours I ordered it. After that preordered GalCiv2 as soon as it become available.
That's what I am saing from the start.
If you set planet to produce ships to relay point right after you get message that ship is built (it automatically leaves the orbit) you can't see it at all. But if you click on the space near planet where ships are usualy "exit from orbit" it will "magically" appear from nowere
To put it simple there is no tooltip any more on ships names when you "goto" into planet ship production screen on event , so if you have several ships orbiting ... it's rtather hard to tell which one which ...
I don't know I never type my serial in, only once when I bought the game, after that it downloads patches quete nicely.
Well I tested this option and it works well. You just have create a transport with a lot of weapons early in the game, load it with a lot of weapons , nothing else, use if for atack only on small ships (this case you will probably fire first and kill on first fire) if you lucky enough you will make few victories with it so it get XP and there for HP will grow , after that .... you got the idea.
I like the new function, actually. I like it too *sometimes* I just hate loosing old functionality
hey probably banned you because they felt what you said would start a long thread on piracy... well it did It's also poss
Same here, but no savegame, functionality restores after you exit the game ...

SmackleFunky , this probably was directed to me ,I did made font a bit bigger then should in original post Bingjack , you right about problems for "visual designers" , but you should think about "just gamers" too, after all it's not 3D Max it's a game, that's why I added ite (5) in original post, I think it would satisfy everyone.
Wait and see You know something we don't ? I mean I love the way developers listen to users but to "listen" someone have to talk, that's why I started this thread to begin with.
I am too against "auto upgrading" the weapons but this still means I DO want to be able to CHANGE them manually , not to fit everything from the beginning each time.
i was burned too bad with x2 to try x3. x2 was a buggy mess on release that had extremely poor combat compared with freespace and xwing (I was spoiled!!) Well X3 was even more buggy but it's great game. Nevertheless I personally bycoting Egosoft because they banned me from their forum when I in
Excuse my ignorance, but what was the 'ugly remove button bug' ? Very simple , you could not remove more then one "thing" defore adding the other when updating. So if you let's say wanted to update 4 "Laser III" to 4 "Laser V" you had to " remove 1 "Laser III" , add one "Laser V" , re
But i must admit i feel a bit sorry for stardock. They've just changed the system because of complaints only to earn new complaints from others. So if others are happy, i can live with it. Have to agree with you but I think it was a quick solution to fix ugly "remove" button bug, now we should "press"
Do you like new ship design policy introduced in latest upgrade that in case you select "upgrade" removes all the "items" from she ship except hulls and visuals ? Well I started this thread because personally I DO NOT like it. It is an improvment over buggy "Remove" button but it's not good either. The reasons "why" is simple : - Some "things" removed are also act as visuals (engines, weapons,..) and after
I instead of turning starbases OFF would add option to choose minimum distance starbases range , with 3 default like now it could be nice to be able to increase it, or may be increase automatically according to galaxy size. This would take care about "too many starbbases" issue.
Well , the tutorial is bad , but only because it's low res when playing it fullscrteen , anything else is ok.
Amen to that
Well I just go and say "it's like what MOO3 should be" for most of my friends it's enough
Is it steam powered ?
It's a big deal for me too, I don't like paiying another $40 because my CD got scretched. Also most copy protections are nothing but trouble for your Windows. Also if Windows gets updated or hardware (like moving to SATA) it might not work at all because copy protection . Not to mention you have to have CD in drive all the time this not only unconvinient but causes it get damaged more therefore you will have to buy another one... </
And here is same starbase as it really looks: http://img235.imageshack.us/my.php?image=starbase84look2wb.jpg
