Goes like this. 1. You have a fleet with "icon" (on the main interface when fleet selecte) of on of your ships made on custom design , not core design (either fleet consist only from this ship or has majority of this ships). Let's say design called "DOOM I" 2. You go into shipyard and update design , lets say remove lasers and put phasers
Lord KiRon
Same here used that exploit all the time. Just select the ship and then click small "i" in the circle icon - will show all ship details no mater what espionage level you are.
I turned to show ALL battles in options. However sometimes it does not show battles envolving 2 fleets .
Well I am not sure if it's bug or not but I can't understend when fleet batle "cinematics" shown and when not. I mean sometimes when just 2 ships fighting I get cinematics and sometimes when 2 fleets fighting I don't. Something defenatly odd there.

No major problems , but a lot of very minor tiny problems that still does not effect "enjoyment" from the game but do exist.
Hm... I would call disapearing "Next Turn" button a major bug But in general it's features tweeking that we need the most.
100% agree - find it very anoying !
Already suggested it during Betas , somehow they not liked it.
jefe414 You probably don't have needed tech. About original post , item 2 , - very anoying , need "create ship from template" or "copy design" options.
maby if you can decline victory? if you win by cultural victory, and you get popup window "you have won by cultural victory, end game? yes/no", so if you click "no", you get the chance to mop up... This is a great idea too. Giv4 have it such way.
I just wish simular components were "grouped" one afer another.
If I am not mistaken in GalCiv2 the minimal PQ is 5 (of cause there are 0). To "raise morale" use starbases.
Yep , Tech tree is a pain to navigate. It's fun to look at but if you wish to find something usefull ...
Just "Launch" the ship from planet orbit (so it will be in space) , select it , right-click on the planet you wish to colonize. When it done moving there you will be presented with window to give a name to your new colony.
Based on GalCiv1 expirience StarDoc is very fast and frequent with patches, my bet would be another week or two max.
1. Yes but it's not borders it's areas of influence. 4. No (unfortunatly ) 5. I want to know that too , or actually just base my designs on core designs.
Confirmed on tooltips problem , it's minor but really annoying when you want to see tooltip.
6. Also forgot to mention that it's really hard to tell what tech you need to get access to some core ship design , something has to be done here The game just says like "4 other technologies needed", but what technologies ?
Game is great , I was strong supporter of tactical combat but with fleet buttles like this it's not really needeed (*at least in this game* ) The game has one main thing - it's fun to play. However the "code" does seems a bit unfinished , small bugs and glitches (especially in different statistics/info screens) make a bad impression but hope it will be fixed soon.
Disable 2nd core ?
1. Ability to "upload" race image when starting custom game from game setup screen. (I know you can "patch" the game images but we need simple method with built-in resize and format convertor) 2. Ability to "upload" player/avatar image when starting custom game from game setup screen. 3. Ability to copy ship design or create a new ship design based on "template" This needed mostly because core desig
Since you can't upgrade core designs (btw: why?) how about addint an option to "copy" design or use some design as "template" ? I am too find problematic that when I wanted to put another weapon on "Defender" leaving everything else the same (including look).
I surtenly d'like to have it as a feature in game setup screen.
Agree with all the points except the one noted by Citizen Yellow Sign , victory conditions shopuld be controlable but only in new game setup.
