Bootstrap Bill?

Was it? I didn't see any of the troll attributes.
Your humour was just lost on him. It was a clever pun though.
Even so, it shouldn't be two words, which was the point Mr. Nand was trying to make.
Mispelled was mispelled as he spelled miss spelled.
Hey that sounds pretty cool. We should offer that course for free at our Terror Star of Evil except make it Torian cadavers.
That would be Hyper Warp I believe. Just another speed boosting tech.
The point he is making that it is unnecessary to say anything more than "Whoops, double post" when such an event occurs.
You can't pick up SE4G at any store, you can only order it from the Malfador Machinations website.
So can you make a train long enough to reach from one star to another? That'd make building transports for pop transfer obsolete.
Love those changes, it addressed everything I had problems with.
The same thing happens in MOO2, plus there's also some technologies that reduce space taken up by equipment or increasing existing space in a ship. Late in the game I'd have a "Death Star" design that had about 4-5 Stellar Converters and every shield/armor enhancing system. And then of course I'd have a "Terror Star" design that had just one Stellar Converter but also Disruptor Cannons up the wazoo. As well as the usual orbital bombardment stuff and missiles.
Space Empires 4 is awesome. It is a bit more complicated, but once I got used to it I had a blast. I had a ship design for practically every mission profile you can think of.
I build Rangers simply for the fact that they can explore anomalies. So they're basically just Survey Ships that are far more effective and can get better over time as they find space junk anomalies to boost att and def.
I don't exploit starbases either, I only build one in the Sol sector and then one for every resource I can get my hands on.
I kind of like 1.13, simply because I didn't have to pay an ever increasing fee to build starbases. I don't think it's any worse, just different. Although the new logistics thing disappointed me, I was under the impression it would be applied to ships and how large of a fleet you can support. But instead it just seems to dictate how much starbases cost.
Beautiful, maybe now I can stop stealing the one achievement from other races (by invading a system that's building it and rush buy it).
Um, well... They don't seem to be talking about GalCiv. It looks more like they're complaining about Civilization 3. [Message Edited]
Oh you were talking about the clone war thing, well I'm indifferent about the matter, and Hairy indicated that he was interested. We'll have to ask him if he's okay with joining you, I myself don't have a problem with it.
Yeah that was a while ago but they at least made it to top dog position. They had their time in the spotlight before crumbling. I would've been satisfied with that, but no the farthest we could get was 8th.
Nope, not us. I can't speak for the rest of the empire but I've resigned myself to the fact that the No. 1 position is unattainable and have lowered my standards accordingly.
Nah we pretty much decided we weren't going to join any empires. (I'm surprised someone actually dug up this old thread)
Will these fleets attack together? I mean, will they work so that if you have say 30 corvettes in a fleet, that you can destroy a battleship or dreadnought and not lose the whole fleet trying? I'd imagine it would work something like the defense and attack values of all the ships added together when calculating how much damage is done to the battleship and how much damage is dealt to your fleet. So like 30 corvettes with 4 def each and 5 att each would equate to 120 def and 150 att. But that see
I noticed that too, I even went so far as to make a scenario for AP and turned off the option for aggresive minor colonizing but they still spread out past their home system and hoard the planets before I can get to them. I really wish minor races were still minor like the good old days.
Those are the Fundamentalists, and they're really really nasty if you're an evil player like myself. They strike only at evil players and can really cripple your empire if they show up.
