I guess I was mostly wanting it for the Commander type of champion...the one who is staying i the town helping out with unrest and whatnot. Still, I might look into changing that myself. You are right going out makes way more xps. I was just looking for something that could help out a bit in towns and such for when I have so many champs that it becomes to much to control them all.

I remember their being a building(thought it was the Inn) that gave a 25% chance for stationed heroes to get xps, but I dont see it anymore. Am I crazy to think there was such a building? If there was, is there a way to then add that back into a building...say the Inn again? Looks like most of everyone thinks another GC is coming and im all for it!! My wife would watch me or hours playing that game and it had so many neat features...especially in battle when you could replay them and then I could take pics during it and write stories about it. Good stuff

Thats true GfireflyE...i agree totally. In the end it does come down to battling the AI opponents and why should you not be getting decent xps for fighting them and defeating.

Ya that Scythe you get from that big ass Ogre has that on it -100% for 42 dmg...it hurts getting hit with too.

Do your heroes have the +XP advantage? If so thats could be a reason some get more than others. Also, if you have more champions in one army, then you get a reduced amount, so if you have then taken out 1 champ with say 3 normal units and win, you would go wow...that sure is alot of xps, when compared to the 3 or more champs party.
1- Id love to see dynasties put back in officially. I know some are working on it for a mod and Ive enabled dynasties in my XML folder, but Id like to see more done with this and especially your children. Heck, maybe if the game lasts long enough, one of your children takes over and you retire. 2- Also would like to see UNREST added to the main city info screen...the one at the bottom of your screen which gives a few of important numbers there. Just curious but I enabled dynasties and then used the Ctrl F and it said 3 children were born...all to the one person I had encountered. Is that a mistake and they are really mine or does that really give them to your opponents?
Congrats Cari! You are off on one of the greatest adventurers ever...being a parent! My baby is now 6 months old herself and it has totally changed our lives...for the better!! Deciding to be at home with your baby is no small thing, but its a great choice! DOH!! Im a noob...somehow i forgot to put my iron mine down on my iron...strange...i remember selecting it on my city, but there was nothing there. When I did i had ore and it worked!!
Was playing a game and discovered chain mail, so happily i went to my units to upgrade them.....and nothing. NO option to upgrade them, even though i had created the units with the ability to upgrade to the best available. Wow that would be interesting...would add a whole new slew of problems facing the players. Internal strife while trying to fend off nasties and other sovs, would certainly add an interesting wrinkle to the game. I like it!!
Was just on GoG and they have Galactic Civ 1 for sale. Wow cant believe its been that long that they can now have it. Doesnt look like they had to fix anything, like they do on some games, and there are a few xtra features. By them selling it does it take away from SD then or do they have to get permission first? I see in the XML that dynasties are still in there and im wondering if I turn them on will they work? Let me rephrase that, I have turned them on and havnt seen anything yet. I dont see a problem with it, because its a random start...its random. If you make it not random, then its not random! I mean, if 2 civs happen to start in the same area in RL, they would have to either get along or fight. Im sure this has happened in RL and why shouldnt it happen in a game. Especially in a game with this setting, 2 Sovs could meet and decide right there to duke it out. I like my maps random, which means anything goes. Others may not.
Glad to know SD isnt going on the market...that would kill they way you do business and treat your employees.
