I remember those types from GC II and when you would see ships coming loaded up with beams or whatnot, you would have to start planning your strategy a bit different, not to mention if you didnt adapt to how the AI did to your wps, that could hurt as well. Was a great system for GC, but I bet it wouldnt work so well for FE, like Lord Frog said above. Rock, paper, scissors isnt always the best way at times.

Im kinda with Derek as naval power isnt what im looking for in the game. I mean this is a game of magic...Id rather see magical ways of exploring then jump in a boat and see where we land. Im not against it totally, but would be neat to have other ways to move around. I know in MoM you could have ships, airships, water walking spells, and so on, that made it fun to explore. Steam? WE will have to use Steam?? OH no...this can be problematic for me then. I have issues at time with Steam letting me into offline mode when im away from decent internet. Seems like I hve to uninstall and reinstall it alot to fix it. Id prefer not to have to use steam for this? Is this set in stone Frogboy??

Did i read right that if we ordered the original game we get this free? Wow are you kidding me? Thats so awesome and it looks great. This really gives it more of a MoM feel imho. I always liked how heroes would seek you out when you had some fame. Cant wait to beta it and try it out...if i get into the beta that is. Did i mention I work in the oil fields and have quite a bit of time on my hands?? :)

I agree with many here as well. The biggest factor for me is magic. It still doesnt seem magicky enough. I guess I go by MoM which is the inspiration(among others) for this game. The spells in that game were really neat and fun. Yes some maybe were OP(then again that didnt bother me) but it made the game very neat. AFter reading many of the reviews that are out about the game, I was curious how Stardock see's FE? If you were to give it a number from 1 to 10...10 being perfect and 1 being not, where is it? How would you rate it against GC and Sins? Granted they are different in many ways, but hey, they are still games! Others can chime in as well as Im curious how some of us long time players and testers think it is. For myself, im in the about 8 range.

Awesome work on this but im curious about HEAT. After playing Civ 5 and noticing heat issues on my gaming laptop that cost me 3k...Im wondering what you have noticed on your rigs running this. Like Frogboy said...feel free to make the spell cost as epic as you want...from 5-5000000 or what not. Personally, I found 50 to be alot, but I play games with Low magic, resources and ravaged land, so 50 mana for me is alot.

When you lower lands next to your city from mountains to hills to plains, are they suppose to become usable at hills or plains? Right now it seems only plains are usable. Was also wondering when you build your city and you slowly expand towards either forests or river/water, will it be implemented that you can then build the appropriate buildings for those(like the logging camp or dock types)? Going to uninstall and do a clean install of the new update. Not sure if this might mean anything but when I went to control panel to uninstall...I noticed(after i hit uniinstall) that FE was still on the .952 version there and not the updated 980 version. By the time I noticed it, it was too late, but thought i mention that.
