Paxx, I believe that it was Apple who saved Microsoft...I mean without Apple, Windows wouldn't even exist. Who else would they copy off of? funny, but also not true. i remember being a kid writing basic programming, saving files to my computer, and playing Sopwith Camel. during that time, every apple i knew of didn't even have an operating syste
no doubt in my mind there was once life on mars. if you look at the geology of the planet, its pretty clear water covered much of it.. i'm suprised its in such high debate. so many clues lead to the past existance of water on the surface, but i understand the need for hard proof.

i don't use desktop x so this may not prove to be such a challange after all. but i think it something to look into for you scripters. another thread talked about multiple desktopping/multi monitors. the windows powertool 'Desktop Manager' gives you a toolbar in your system tray to toggle between different desktops to multitask with zillions of things going on at once, in the event you fill up one screen with too much garbage. it even has the option to 'expose' your desktops.. it tiles
say "power tools" and have an image of foot on pedal. might actually make a good wallpaper.

the windows calculator is probobly my most widely used tool.. good for when you're coding tables and can't process 760 pixels minus 140 pixels in the midst of a sea of tr's and td's.

well this is what i do, so i want to lend a hand. i started with a dictionary, on bicycle. i got words like "push bike" and "tandem" that sound cool. "pedal" or "chain driven" are nice words that can be put to some cool graphics. "Transport".. "Cycle".. "Cycladic" is cool except it has nothing to do with bikes. "Wide Fat Tires". "Black Rubber Teeth". "Secure The Mountain". "Mounted Trailblazer." graphic wise, ghost images (semi-trans) of bicycle wheel spokes or a foot on a pede
certain things can surge a usb hub.. externals primarily.. i have my keyboard and mouse going into a small hub and every now and then something knocks them out. i unplug the power for the hub and plug it all back in, works fine. now, INTERNAL usb? not sure if they'd suffer from the same problem. do you have a web cam or scanner or camera plugged into the same set of usb's? or mabye you can find an updated driver for your USB system.. it'd be tougher to find then something like a printer driver,
back in the days of dialup bbs's, there were some cute little programs for converting images into ascii art. or you could paint em yourself. wow.. i sort of miss those days.. playing "Pit" on my friend's bbs, the chatrooms. memoooories.
"I don't get e-mails with calculators in it, do you?"
'macintosh' is English for 'raincoat'

It clearly says that you can hide it by hitting ESC..... mine doesn't hide when i hit esc.. on any of my machines. it is only there for 3-5 seconds, though
