Yeah, that's where I remember it from - and actually it was a VERY powertful tool if the AI was playing with weak economics or popularity. You could watch a powerhouse crumble as they tried to keep revolts down. Fun stuff. Thanks all for the replies...
Just wondering, it looks like there is a single 'espionage' slider, does this fulfill the tech spying and destabiliztion purposes in one action? I thought in ye olde days they were actually separate, but it seems like they are combined now...

Just curious - I check the 'software' tab every day or two, and occasionaly see the GalCiv software shows 'updated' - but there doesn't appear to be anything new. Am I missing something? (In fact it shows 7/31 as updated, but nothing on the list or in the history file). Apologies if this is a total newbie question... ~SDC~

Hi all, First post here - bought the game online, played for a couple of weeks so still learning all of the quirks. Up until the last day or so, I have played economic / cultural only just to see what it was like playing without any military.
