Wait guys, I think we've got this guy all wrong. Look at the title of this post. Hes looking for a serial for some game called galvic. Well I think I can help you, man. Just go get four thousand monkeys and give each a typewriter. I guarantee that eventually they will pound out a galvic serial number. ~SDC~

They are not charging the money for the beta, they are charging it for Drengin.net. They just so happen to be releasing it early as a special perk to Drengin.net users. I could make an analogy involving the special stuff in magazines bought off the news stand as opposed to from magazines obtained via subscription, but I'm too lazy ;P. ~SDC~
Passover eh? Why don't you try tossing some lamb's blood on the teacher's door and see if that changes her tune. I'll mail printouts of the latest posts on this forum to the county jail so you won't fall behind. ~SDC~
"Mythor: I'll have to ask. I'm not that familiar with the technical aspects on SDCentral." Oh my lord. I'm having terrible, terrible flashbacks to moo3. "We lost the guy who knows that." is the basic response to questions about moo3 diplomacy. From what I've read, the guy is quite bitter too. But you're not bitter. Not yet. First you'll need years and years of player sarcasm and unrelenting, unreasonable demands. Then, like Chris Taylor, you can vanish into the su
Oh btw, I was doing some thinking and I have an alternate explaination now -albeit one only slightly more plausible-: When I deleted the mod, I also deleted the installer -which I had kept, as per the suggestion of the installer itself-. This freed up a fair amount of space on my HD, which may or may not have been the source of the problem. Again, I really don't know, but I just thought I'd toss that in to counterbalance my prior statement ;P. ~SDC~
Ya I agree, and I apologize. I don't get it anymore, so *shrug*. Out of sight, out of mind. ~SDC~
Dammit crushbone, you beat me to it ;P. Kinda reminds me of the game I'm playing right now- any day now, the Torians are going to blow up the Whitehouse, time to start a new game. oh and Jamie, WTH is Pesach? I assume it isn't mechwarrior related ;P. To Gera: if you think thats bad, go on google and search for information on "Golden week" -I think thats what its called-. The Japanese go even more nuts than we are for holidays like Christmas, and their Christian popul
Heh, they just HAD to put the button in there early, didn't they. Reminds me of all those cartoons with the buttons marked 'do not push'. Oooh, what does THIS button do? ~SDC~
To answer your question: the best way? Define best. The 'best' way from a total pacifist's point of view would be to give them planets. They LOVE that. The best way for anyone else would be techs/trade goods, though the odds are that if you are in so much trouble that you are suing for peace, you won't have many techs that your attacker(s) don't have :P. In that case, the best way to placate them is by hitting escape then going to main menu and starting a new game. I find t
The season you are looking for is 'winter'. ~SDC~
That brings something to mind: I don't like how the game forces you to either be Ghandi or Hitler. Either you choose the pure and righteous path, royally screwing up your planet quality -thats the one that hurts the most, imho,- and otherwise being a pansy, OR, you choose every single evil option that there is. If you try to pick mostly good things but several bad -for the PQ boosts-, more often than not you end up neutral- which gives no benefits, and get nothing to show for it. <
The problem with that is that many of the answers in the older threads are just that: old. For example, at one point I was wondering if you could simply make a kajillion starbases in one sector and boost the production up to an astronomical level. From what I understand, this used to be the case, but was changed fairly recently. I just wanted to be absolutely sure, thats all. For what its worth though, I do agree with your philosophy. *suddenly has an urge to quote V
The Arceans usually end up flipping my colonies like cheap fast food hamburgers, whereas the Torians almost inevitably end up driving me insane with their aggression- and maddening theme music... argh... can't... get it... out of my.... head >_ And the Altarians drive me insane with their hypocracy. The Drengin are predictable to a fault, and the Yor... geez, I feel sorry for them. Seriously, they are the Omega male of this game -as opposed to the Alpha male.- They
Shhh. Maybe its better if he follows his own path; I don't think we want his kind to breed, anyway ;P.
I heard its possible to crack a game's serial number protection using a cetrifuge and a flashlight.
"In spite of your childish 'WTF', the game is much better playing this way than it would be if it worked the other way." Thank you for a condescending and insulting response to an honest exclaimation of surprise. I feel the world is a better place because of people like you. Sir, I salute you.
WTF? You keep paying your debts to a country you are at war with?
Huh? That last message didn't make much sense either o_O.
How about the ability to answer diplomatic messages with a variety of sarcastic comments, like: "To assist you in your valiant battle against the Drengin, we grant you some of our finest starships." "And so conveniently located IN THE MIDDLE OF FREAKING NOWHERE too. Spank you very much." -- *insert demand for money and my subsequent refusal here* "You are braver than you look." "No, just poor."/"You know, we humans have a saying, 'you can't
Ya thats why I said I doubted that was it- all I did was mention my observations. Touchy touchy ;D.
No no no, the thing that happened to me, and which went away after uninstalling the mod, was the trade routes thing. Sometimes I would have several trade routes 'open', and I wouldn't be able to take advantage of them.
And would declaring war cancel my outstanding debts? Do I resume paying if we make peace afterwards?
Hmm, anyone have access to the Drengin.net stuff? Is it worth it? [Message Edited]
Biplanes manuvered well? Anyway, I would think conquest would be ridiculously easy for a mechanical life form. Just break out the biological weapons and let them loose simultaneously, by the time the victims know whats going on, its too late. As for G-forces, I'm sure they'd find a way to deal with that, some kinda supertight space suit like the flight suits we have today. Or they could be drone fighters ;D.
