Just submitted the third chapter of my origin story to War of the Worlds.

Star Destruction Madness: Build all of the terror star modules except for one on starbases next to every enemy star. Complete every terror star. Press next turn. Proceed to blow every enemy star in the galaxy up in one turn. ;p .
The abandoned terraformer anomoly is an library mod.
The answer to beating Maso Games: Cheese, cheese, cheese, cheese, more cheese, even more cheese, and building terror stars at the last second near every enemy star and blowing them up in one turn ;p .
As I would like to see more story-themed games, this is an example of something that I think would be fun to play: Civ Name: Carekeepers Picks: PQ and Morale Party: Pacifists Start out in the middle of the game. All other races have more planets than the carekeepers, but the carekeepers should have higher PQ for all of their planets.
Another Maso game submitted. This brings the Evil Empire's score up to 500k! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:
MOD UPDATE: Fixed mistake labeling Loyalty Bonds Trade Good as World-Wide Manufacturing Plant.
Nand1, I disagree, in one of the GotM we did, one system was very contested during initial expansion. Some went to war over it, some got it and some didn't. This made for interesting comparions, as the strategies would vary because of that. I went at war against the Altarians for instance, only to have the Arceans land on the planet first!
I'm not saying that every game should start later in the game, I'm just saying that some of them should start in the middle. Some game
And I'm STILL on, but not for much longer unless you come too.
I would be able to do techs and improvements for you, but I would have to see what happens with the star wars mod first.
You can send me at
the new, and very good BTW, evil/good tech mod). My latest game came out alright (my new tactic brought me a nice 59k), but now I'm worried about future games. How can I know which mods will distort my score? Those mods may spice up the game, but if they are indeed unbalancing...
Thank you Harel. You shouldn't have anything to worry about from the good/evil mod or kryo's mod becuase Carielf ran them through a game and since she's put them in the library, they should be fi
As in changing descriptions and names, and I'll even throw in a couple new ones.
This would be a pretty cool idea...
Maybe you should join us at the Evil Empire.
Hairy, you seem to be on at the same time I am. Come into #galciv and chat with me!
I welcome you to the great and mighty Evil Empire Tom. You have bumped us up to the 8th position, and now we are a true force to be reckoned with >:( .
Nand1: If you start in the middle you lose the critical (and enjoyable) initial expansion and initial tech and resource choices. Skillful handling of that period is one of the things that separates the best from the rest.
The initial expansion period is one of the easiest parts of the game once you know what to do. If you want to experience the expansion period, you can always just start a new game. What's the point of having an GOTM if it's just settings? It's better to
If you ever get around to enhancing the mod, send me an e-mail and I'll make the improvements more Star-Wars like.
This is how I did it, I don't know if this is the "official" way or not tho. If there's a playlist directory in the galciv folder you just put them in there. If there isn't, you create one. In game you go to the options menu and press "Allow Playlist"(something like that, I don't remember exactly, you should be able to see it). Once in the playlist menu(a button should appear on the options menu) set your playlist directory to playlist and it should work. Also, if you end up bein' evil,
Oh, and obsidion, if you don't submit an evil game by sunday evening, I'm afraid you'll be booted out of the evil empire.
Well, I never really went over the hump to get to maso, i just went around it ;p . I never played anything between normal and maso. All you need is a good maso stragegy guide and some patience and you'll be gettin' those scores in no time. [Message Edited]
You wouldn't necessarily have to have the game start on turn one. I think it would be better to start the game in the middle, so you could have some sort of a storyline.
Nice ta see you back in the community EBZ! Anyways, I'm from a Orinda, In the state governed by a movie star....(Geuss).
Here's one race you guys are forgetting: The Dmer.
