If we look at the AAR Ray posted on his smashing sucess in my War of the Ring (WOTR) scenario we notice his first four techs were as follows: comm theory univ trans diplomacy impulse drive

Hmmm I thought the purpose of the Metaverse was for honorable competition. I fail to see what is honorable about flooding the server with cakewalk victories on tiny maps. Frankly I am surprised that the developers permit such an obvious design flaw. In the strategy game genre it is typical to use victory point multipliers based on skill level. Looking as if nothing could suprise him Lord RayChua spoke "Send the Hunt Master to quell the dogs and prepare the hall to receive our guest. A smile comes to the Strange Celt's face as he turns to Ray the Wanderer "So then, there may be hope for this universe yet. Where many have failed you have found shining sucess. Through focus, perfect optimization, and by taking the initiative you controlled your environment, and sucessfully completed my quest." A sparkle enters the great man's eyes as he idly fingers a green sash tied to his waist "Yet like most quests true worth is found in the journey... and not the re
"Reward? I thought you were heroes not mercenaries? Is freeing the land of the greatest evil mankind has ever known not reward enough?" "Very well, I propose this: Should you succeed at my quest then within one week's time from said success I will reappear in your halls, and you may assign ME a quest which I will fulfill." Theleb
"And more more thing," The green figure pauses dramatically, "No using Ctrl-N, not even once. Take WHATEVER position fate dictates." Theleb
*** War of the Ring *** The Wizards of the White Tower were seated in council enjoying a much needed break between posting and playing-- indeed they were joined in celebration and marvelled at the great deeds they had performed, and the size of their new found kingdom. Of course as in all tales of lore when the heroes gather in celebration and nothing could go wrong, something does. Without warning a large burly man bedecked entirely in green bursts into the feast hall. With a
