Help (Invalid Serial #) in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

I bought this game earlier this week, and have been playing it all week. I finially beat a game and it asked me to submit my score to metaverse. Well i go to register a player so i can do this, but it says i have an invalid serial #... i also get the same thing when i try and DL the patch... i did the search function and it seems a lot of people have had this problem. I tried switching my letters/numbers from 1 to i or 0 to o, it still did not work. Can neone tell me what i have to do (i.e.
