I often find especially with MAC users a sense of superiority, when it comes to OSs, some of this was true, however the reality is that whatever your need is today there is an OS out there for you. I am generally a windows user, partly because any thing I can do on a Mac I can now do in windows, plus I am a big Stardock Junkie, and am always happy to get my friends hooked as well, probably I am a control freak and like my machines to look and work the way I like. This said I al

I would just add a further comment of the issue of soverignty and the question of thugs. No one and I include myself in this comment , would ever deny that in cases of obvious violations of human rights others should help, however it is more than in most cases this is not the case. In the main it is for totally selfish reason that countries do what they do, and in many cases the thugs which have commited these crimes, have at sometime been on the payroll of the same governments
We are discussing a point which is yet to be properly Debated, that being the US administrations complete lack of recpect for other countries soverignty, You guys can debate the past and the present till the cows come home , you can also use the defense of others doing this, however it does not address the point at hand that is that in the past and right up to the present The US Government has violated the soverignty f others, sometimes directly sometimes VIA its agents, and by this I mean , sup
Interesting reply, in regard to thugs taking over countries, lets explore, Nicarauga. The People of the country vote for a government, your country does not like them, or more correctly they do not cow tow to Washington, Your government send support to a rebel force, in the form of arms, money and advisers, you assist in the overthrow of the said democratically elected government, and in turn a thug takes power, and Washington is happy, not to mention, a not so subtle warning to the people of t
You know Brad, in certain part of Africe there is a bird which has some similarities to you, the one that springs to mind is , shoving one's head in the sand. For an intelligent person, running a large business, a a strong background in History, you really do disappoint at times with your debating. To say my comments are nonense would imply to me that either you are quite happy to put your head in the sand, and ignor the fact that the forign policy of your country may have some
You really don't get it do you Messy Mu, for a start, when one makes a critisim of the foriegn policy of a country, this does not mean that I hate the US, so I suggest that you learn that all people do not hate the US, nor at any point did I imply this let alone state it. Secondly you obviously do not seem to take much notice of what goes on in the world on a day to day basis, as none of what I have said is past history any more than present. Thirdly, besides comments that I ha
My only answer would when has'nt it. Sorry supporting any one for what ever reason does not justify the action, for no matter what reason. Especially when it there is no possible reason than to make sure of your influence in the country. I suggest you look at history a bit more closely, as you seem to have very little understanding of what has happened over the past several decades, in reference to US relations and intervention. When you create enemies when there only crime was to resis
Tech Cat is the shortsighted tpye of argument that is the very reason why MS should be worried about emerging economies. I should say that China was an example only, many countries including largeish first world economies are now adopting Linux for many purpose from servers to desktops, this penertration is especially obvious in Government systems and schools, which is where these arguments are won and lost. If Linux is no threat, why is MS so worried. Why are they suing linux on so man
Actually it does matter how you look at it, why, because while the agrees that the man and his cohorts had to go, it is the intent, and the history that counts. Why you may ask, simple. The analysis of why will be what the world in general judges the US and its partners by and more importantly it will be this premis which will further ignite feelings of ill will towards the US and its allies. You people need to learn that if you shit on people they will shit back, and whether y
Messy, most countries respect others, sorry to burst this bubble, but this is how the world in general works. As for the second question, well terrorism seems to be a word only attributed to the "BAD GUYS". No person or government who kills innocent people can be defended, nor can a government that supports this activity. As the facts stand the US administration has done both in the name of securing its interest and security. I do not for one moment believe they are alone, however the fact is th
The question of whether the previous Iraqi Government was a security risk has been debated, many times, however I would like to add a few comments to this debate which seem to have been overlooked. These being , was or is there a security risk to the US main land, was there a connection to Oshama, or is the real risk to US interests in the middle east. After spending my extended christmas break bonning up on the history of the so called rogue state and the involvement of variou
Linux is mainstream, and with countries such as china adopting as their OS of choice, well numbers speak for themselves. Just so you understand what I mean Brad, China has announced that it will in the future be supporting Linux as the Industry standard in Government and Private sector, and has already secured contracts purchasing up to 200 million units for this year alone, , this would indicate that this is mainstream.
Actually mad cow disease is spread by feeding the infected tissue of other animals to another, whether it is beef to beef or beef to human, it is caused by a protien, and as such is not killed by cooking, the other problem is that it can take several for symptoms to become obvious, therefore just like AIDS, this allows the disease to spread for some time unchecked, this essentially means that at some stage the infection in both people and cattle will reach higher levels of infection, or at least
Oh by the way Brad the rest of us are humans as well.
Interesting Article Brad, not very accurate to the argument at hand though and just goes to show the general attitude of the american right. You say that Americans are not blood thirsty, and in the main I agree completely, however the truth is while the general populace is not the US adminisration is, and far worse than any other so called first world nation today, as for includions of other countries, whether you are correct or not in your assesment, this does not dispute the argument, rath
Some enlightening comments, some expected. Brad, all countries do act in their own interest, true. However most don't treat the soverignty of others with the contempt that the US does. My reply is most residents have had a gutfull of the aggorance of the US administration, and will continue to disagree and critise and grow increasing angry, some more than others, GET USED TO IT. By the way the US did not back the Afgan war lords as such, at least not in the way you refer, the real truth
I always find it interesting that when ever we hear a speech from the US administrations through the years, they always refer to the defence of the US and its demoracy. Yet they do not seem to have the same regard for their treatment of other countries. On almost every occasion when the US govenment has interfeered with another countries soverignty, it has been for the defence of the US, the attack of many Sth American countries, Chile spings to mind, when the US admistration, supported the Mili
I find it interesting why people ask why it took so long to remove Sadam, well he was after all once considered a friend of the US, eg he was more desired along with the Baath Party, in preference to the posible of a Muslim Controlled Administration, which would have been the outcome had the Rebellion of 1991 suceeded, the old addage of better the one you can control than the one you can't, and where would that leave the US admisitration and its rather
While most people of the world agree that Sadam had to go, To say that stuff the rest of the world, we're bigger, we will do what we like type comments, ae the very reason that most people in the planet of ours now view the US administration as one that is arogant and not to be trusted, as for manipulation of the public the get the desired outcome, well any one who is surprised has not bothered to watch how countless US Presidents have done likewise to
I would have to say counter sue for violations of intellectual property, interesting that you did not njust refused free rights and you get sued, interesting, as I said sue whom ever, owners and company and milk hem for any lost income and income derived already, and then sue for legal costs, that should be a pretty good Christmas present. Hope the rest of Christmas is better.
Give him to his own people and let them do as they wish.
What a sad excuse for a human existence Michael Jaskson's life is, and now to use religon as a tool to make himself look squeaky clean. Hmmm. He is very lucky he does not live in true Islamic states, or he may be in for a good stoning, or maybe he would have the offending parts of his body removed, then he would be even more like his sister, Latoya.
Whether we believe in Christ or not , Christmas has long been recognised as a time of giving and thanks, the giving of gifts is both attributed to gifts recieved by the parebts of christ when he was born, and a pagan ritual of celebration and giving thanks for the bounties of nature. Whether we believe or not, those who are offended are in general terms wankers, to be blunt, why should people be so offended by any celebration of life and spirituality, just because they do not believe in any form
Happy Christmas , Bloggers, hope you are enjoying the Snow, it's bloody hot here. Cheers, that's the wonder of the Australian Christmas, Sun sand and warm to hot days.
I have two Offices, one at home and one in the city, This is where I go when heatwaves hit and to meet with clients, the rest of the time I work at home, yeah yeah, cut to the chase> When I am at home I sometimes have the TV on, as I do today, Since I started today at approx 7.30am up till now 1.00pm AEST, I have very little else tham Michael Jackson, and sinnipts about GW in the UK and the bombings in Turkey, it's very sad that the media would be so obsessed with stories like this, personally w
