Excellent strategy tips, Cypher! Thanks! My way of playing is not that far off from your's. Basically, I depend on a larger military and feel Dreads are the best ships. I also bribe AIs to fight the others. Hmm...stomach's growling. I think I'll go to lunch! :d

By the way, I don't know if Stardock realizes you submitted that ver 1.49 game! I've read in another thread that none of the AP games are supposed to submit! They did say, however, that you could keep the save games and submit them later.
I think Medium maps are the hardest. With Huge and Gigantic maps, you get some breathing room at the beginning, and with Tiny and Small maps, there are fewer systems to worry about. Honestly, I haven't won a Medium/Maso game. I usually get clobbered pretty quickly. As far as the scoring, I don't think it could score very much higher than a Small map, because of the limitation of the map. I wonder what the requirement is for the Very Good smiley? I checked the MWC Statbot and it said I have an alignment of 1.83 or something like that. And my Difficulty is now over 8.00, so hopefully I will qualify for a Crippling shield sometime. Of course, if Greldon still hasn't gotten a Maso shield, it must take a LOT to ge there!
