Cygnus, Even sourceforge has advertising. Understand, I'm not complaining, but if I have to look at any advertising then the site is not "free" They offer free software so that they can get a few advertising dollars. Yesterday Frogboy mentioned that the site will soon allow those with personal websites "Photo Albums" I'd like a little more information. What are the restrictions for posting on these pages, size, content, format. Will it be limited to just photography and what kind of moderation will they be subject to. I realize this is probably a bad day to ask since staff is probably off for the weekend. If need be I'll bump the post again Monday.

Not being an OD programmer I would ASSUME that having the flyouts open would use up active memory. The flyouts are "waiting" for your selection. While the look is cool I have my folders set to show in a menu. I find very little memory impact from OD and I keep my Taskbar hidden.

From the position of those of us who use the WC forums. The connection with JU has allowed a "point of entry" so to speak for spamming the forum. There is also a bit of confusion at times as to whether a JU article is a request for help or just a rant. There is no easy way to tell if something is a JU article or WC forum post. I haven't heard of this one before. Have you tried moving the whole dock? Maybe there is something on your desktop interferring with OD. What king of configuration do you have for the third tab, Systray or taskbar or just general entries?

Either I've gotten a program that was a CRIPPLED advertisement for a better version or I've received a program that constantly DISPLAYS advertising while I use it or I had to go to a site filled with advertising to obtain it. Did you install the latest BETA version through Stardock Central? Is it the the full version or free version? If you did install through SDC make sure the "Show Pre-Release Versions" check box is not checked. Uninstall your current version, reboot the computer and then download the Release version. The beta's tend to have a few bugs from time to time.

Can you hold down Alt-Ctrl-delete and bring up the Task Manager? If you can look under processes and highlight DesktopX and click end process. Look at the task list (Applications) and see if you have any programs running also.

Yes I get the double icon too. As it goes away with a right click I think it's a remnant of the network getting a address. Doesn't seem to cause me any problems.

You first need to click on the software tab at the top of the page and download and install Windowblinds. After you install the program you sould be able to double click on the Retro.wba file and it will automatically install and give you an option to apply it thru the system tray.

First off there's a difference between docklets and .png's, icons. Dockelts are like mini programs that run under object dock. The png's and icons are what you assign to an "entry" on the dock itself. When you dowload a docklet it should be put in a folder under the ObjectDock/Docklets directory. The best thing to do with the icons and pngs is to put them into your ObjectDock/Images directory. That way when you make a new entry they should by default b
