If you are not using enhanced taskbar in Windows 11 then in newer versions of Windows there is a setting to use small icons when there isn't enough space. I imagine you are running into this. It is under taskbar settings in Windows.

Thanks for the report. The issue with the Win7 style when that option has been enabled on the Win10/11 styles should be resolved for the next update. The issue with white text on the left hand side of the Windows 7 style menu couldn't be reproduced regardless of Windows settings. The automatic colours option is enabled by default in Start11.
You just need to enter your object desktop account details when it asks for activation.

Do you have anything which might be changing your wallpaper on a timer or light/dark mode? It looks like a lot of setting changed messages are being sent for some reason which would be why apps stall as they have to process all those notifications.
As basj indicates, you need 23h2 or later for that feature to work.

Unfortunately we have to have some control in order to do things like actually open on a click of the start button. What in particular do you think the taskbar in S11 is missing?

That would be the normal height for the notification area. However the painting behind it is definitely not normal as it should match the rest of the task bar. Whatever is doing that (and changing the number of icon rows in the tray) is probably the issue here.

This is working as designed. A tab of one is a group and groups respect the do not paint background setting as the area above the top too (or it would look very odd)

Start11 does not provide that menu. Is the move item there but greyed out, or something else? If greyed out, this is normal for maximized or minimized windows.

Given the symptoms, I would say the software isn't starting up at all other than the config screen. If you open taskmanager do you see Start11_64.exe and Start11Srv.exe running on the processes tab? One possibility is you have an AV or antimalware app which is blocking the start of the Start11 service which is listed as Stardock Start11 in the services.msc window.
Start11 v1 isn't designed for Windows 25H2, it was replaced with Start11 v2 two years ago which could be a factor here depending on features in use. Are you using enhanced taskbar?
Do you have autohide taskbar enabled in Windows? That will stop you moving it, but you can use the Start11 auto hide mode instead.
Out of interest how did you end up with 23H2 when upgrading from Win10? That reached end of servicing for home/pro recently. With regards to your issue, do you have enhanced taskbar in Start11 enabled or disabled?

Have you accidentally set the taskbar to autohide?
What other software are you using? Anything which might alter or extend the taskbar or explorer?
