Tried it, no change. After some time, taskbar is not clickable anymore (looks like it's freezed) on both side monitors, works only on my main monitor. When I hover a bit over the the icon on the side monitors, sometimes preview appears and then the button is getting active again. Or I click on my other side monitor, the freeze is gone also for some time.
There is a 2.51 beta available now which should address this.
Downloaded and installed V2.5 yesterday. I can move taskbar to the top of screen but neither right nor left is working for me. Windows 11, 24H2 not installed, 3840x2160 resolution on laptop, same for monitor. Anything I'm missing here.
Uninstall, reboot and then reinstall as probably did not replace the earlier version of start11 correctly.
Is there a particular reason you want to go back?
The test build looks to have resolved the GadgetPack issue. Before I update my main computer from v2.11, is there any reason why the fix wouldn't work with a multi-monitor setup? I don't have a v2.11 install file to back to [insert standard grumble about Stardock practices here].
I would hold off as I think we are going to do a proper update with some other tweaks.
Did you pay by paypal? The license may be associated with that email address if different. If you purchased v4 beta then worry not it is still valid for v4 release as well.
This began occurring for me with the latest update. SOME program icons change when the apps are opened and it occurs whether the original program icon was changed or not. Neither changing the icon nor restarting Explorer helps: The icon on the task bar changes when the app is opened and reverts back when it is closed. This did not occur with the build before this. It's damned annoying is what it is. Not your finest hour, Stardock.&n
Swiping from the bottom of the screen should show the Start11 menu already. What version of Start11 are you using? Likewise rotating the screen with a fullscreen menu looks to be correct?
Right-Click on Taskbar Icons Not Working at Top Position After Latest Update. After the latest update (January 17), I noticed that right-clicking on taskbar icons no longer works when the taskbar is positioned at the top of the screen . This is the main reason I purchased Start11, so it’s frustrating that this functionality is now broken. Right-click works fine when the taskbar is at the bottom or
If you disable the entry in Start11 and add it back it should then use the new translations as the translations of those are used during creation of the link.
Thanks for the bug report. We have reproduced something similar when your OS it set to having a coloured taskbar and menu and using the Win7/Modern menu styles. This should be addressed in the next update.
We should have an update which may help this later this week.
Could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing? Multiplicity should have no interaction with your browser. It does not change your default browser.
Quoting Neil Banfield, reply 88 Unfortunately I don't think anyone reported it during the beta (I think, apologies if I missed it) which is why it remained in the release version.
Is my issue just gonna be ignored? I can't even rollback to a previous version, the whole reason i purchased this software was to have the taskbar at the top, i've been supporting it since Windows 11 came out. The pictures also don't show the search icon, not sure why this was left out. When a taskbar item is active, it is underlined on the taskbar, no indication of active apps on vertical taskbar. I'll just stay with the bottom taskbar, disappointed.
You should be able to have a search icon. You c

It is best to use the inbuilt update checking rather than a third party as they are prone to errors.
For those with some 2.5 issues we have a test build New beta build replaces this so use that version on the store now. Changes : 1) Hopefully resolved issue with explorer windows popping up on Win11 with ExplorerPatcher and potentially could happen on Win10 too. 2) Resolved some issues with work areas with WinStep when using enhanced taskbar and Winstep reserving screen space. 3) Resolved issue with run as admin for some pinned shortcut
Where is the taskbar positioned on the secondary and primary and how are the monitors arranged?
Are you using a laptop as the primary which has a touchscreen?
Just installed this version - all appears to work, apart from the fact that with a vertical taskbar on either left or right side, my desktop icons don't stay put! I am pleased to say we could reproduce this and have resolved it for the next update. Thanks for letting us know. It looks like it only impacted some shortcuts.
