Are you using some sort of VPN? It should automatically try to detect the correct location from your IP address, but this isn't an exact science. You will however need to enter a valid address as otherwise it will not let you buy as this is needed by your credit card company to check the information is valid.

You just need to enable the enhanced taskbar option at the top of that taskbar settings page. Without that you cannot enable non medium size taskbars.

We have reproduced this and are investigating it. Initially looking like a very simple tweak needed.
This looks to be working as intended? Auto hide will unhide if your mouse hits the edge of the screen. This is how auto hide has always worked, otherwise you couldn't get the bar back using the mouse.

We made a change in 2.49 beta for this if you also installed that.
We do not have silent updating in Start11. The update checker automatically prompts the user about updates but that's all. It will not install anything behind your back. An install would replace the service, so all that is telling you is the software has been installed. Are these copies purchased from Stardock directly or via Steam? I ask as if you have turned off autoupdate checks then Start11 itself should not check for updates and even if it did you would not get prompts for versions you cannot use. v1 and v2 are different products and should not see each others updates.
