I can fairly easily beat Normal/Tiny (abundant, clustered) now. Just been practicing and trying different ways of winning. I can get a score around 5000-6000 consistantly. Now I would really like to know how I've seen scores around 10,000 for Norm/Tiny. Just wondering how the scoring works. Instead of killing everyone, should I research faster? Should I maybe build more battleships? Perhaps instead of letting my culture take over most of the planets, should I invade them? I'm jus

So I'm trying out Maso, thought I'd see what it was like :) All hardest AI, tiny, abundant, clusters. I get a decent starting location, colonize everything within reach, flip to tech, research to diplo translators, and then buy them.. me being surprised that I got there before anyone else bought them (last normal game I played, a AI got them first somehow). So I'm sitting there at -7000. Usually I trade techs around using my high Diplo skills & translators to get some positive cash f
I've heard in a few places that you get a higher score if you finish your game quicker? I'm wondering if that is true. I often take my time killing everyone, especially in the end game. IE, I'll push end turn 3 or 4 times, and then grab the piles of ships that have been made and move them, rather than moving them every turn. I understand having fun is the most important, but if my score drops as the turns go by, I can certainly try to finish people off a bit quicker.
Ah finally I get it! Ugh, too many hours wasted. I had two problems. One is that I didn't realize that Player Name and Alias were the same thing. Secondly, I think the site was having problems when I was registering at first, I never got a confirmation the first few times I registered, and those times I was registering the correct player name. Ok, since I got a bunch of 1's and 2's in my scores during my testing, I'm going to make a new player name and have more fun :) Thanks a ton
I was playing my first game a couple days ago. I had 2 allies (Torian & someone else), against the evil D. (Yor and someone else had died earlier). Tiny map. I had the last planet of D surrounded, I sent in my transport and took them out. Final score, a whopping 9. Out of curiosity, I loaded the game, cancelled my alliance, and then took the D out. I had already been spread wide over the whole map, and my culture was spread all over my alliance partners. I think I already
Perhaps someone can help me. I've played a few games, and have tried for multiple hours to get my game results to show up on the Metaverse. When you go to log in, it asks you to fill in "Login" and "Password". Apparently my login is my e-mail address? When I go to submit a finished game to the metaverse, it asks for my "Alias" and "e-mail address".. is my Alias the same as my "Nickname"? When registering a player to an account in the metaverse (I'm a little confused
